[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1219428] [NEW] Unlock password dialog blank on resume

2013-09-01 Thread drink
Public bug reported:

Upon resume, the password dialog did not draw its contents and did not work
typing blindly.
This is not identical to other bug reports because in this case the rectangle
for the window is drawn, but never gains any contents.
Screen photo attached.
Cannot install mainline or saucy on this machine; mainline won't dkms nvidia
and saucy install chokes at the first dialog. So I won't do that as a
troubleshooting step at this point, because of ubuntu bugs.

The mouse jumps around every second or so. Sometimes regularly to the

(summary of comments: It's unclutter's fault. It interferes with

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1016913] [NEW] pull down tab, firefox takes over mouse focus

2012-06-23 Thread drink
Public bug reported:

If I pull down a tab (to open it out to a new window) then I never get
my mouse pointer back; it retains the pull-down pointer and I cannot use
it for anything. I can alt-tab to a terminal and kill firefox, though,
at which point it returns to normal.
