[Desktop-packages] [Bug 909874] Re: eog causes X to crash
[Expired for xorg-server (Ubuntu) because there has been no activity for 60 days.] ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg-server in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/909874 Title: eog causes X to crash Status in “xorg-server” package in Ubuntu: Expired Bug description: I can reproduce this relatively easily. I simply open eog and view a series of JPG images. It usually only takes 4 or 5 before X crashes and I have to log in again. Occasionally the machine will hang and I will have to power-cycle it to recover. I did notice that in /var/log/Xorg.0.log the last line is: [ 132.102] [mi] EQ overflowing. The server is probably stuck in an infinite loop. [Desktop-packages] [Bug 909874] Re: eog causes X to crash
Tpugliese, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. reassigning to xorg, the error you point clearly suggest an xorg issue, could you attach your Xorg.0.log to the bug? ** Package changed: eog (Ubuntu) = xorg (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to eog in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/909874 Title: eog causes X to crash Status in “xorg” package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I can reproduce this relatively easily.
