There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. Oh I see. Yes they work just fine. I just installed Banshee and it is okay to control from the notification bar. But can you tell me if Banshee cannot be controlled from the menu ? Rhythmbox controls at unity (top notification bar under the sound section) do not work. None of them works (play, previous, next...), also when i click on the name, while it should show the main window, it does nothing. It was fine before i did Ubuntu updates this week, i wonder if that caused the problem or something else.
