Title:
Regression: Unable to select audio or subtitle tracks

Status in totem package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed
Status in vlc package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
After upgrading to Ubuntu 15.04 neither Totem nor VLC are able to
select different audio tracks or subtitles when playing videos with
multiple tracks. This is a regression from Ubuntu 14.10 where playback
of such files was working as expected. I tried this on multiple
machines running 15.04 and with various media, mostly MKV videos but
also AVI videos or simply DVDs.

On Totem the expected functionality in the application menu is missing
or the menu item is just empty.

On VLC the menu items are present but always disabled.

  DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04
  Package: totem 3.14.2-0ubuntu1

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1448234] Re: after upgrade from ubuntu 14.10 to 15.04 I can't download subtitles anymore

2015-04-25 Thread Thibaut Robert
The feature is still here, but strangely it seems you need to go in fullscreen
mode to access it (in the top right menu)
There are probably several menus items that are missing in standard view

Title:
after upgrade from ubuntu 14.10 to 15.04 I can't download subtitles
  anymore

Status in totem package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
In the previous version of Totem that was shipped with Ubuntu 14.10,
there was the option to download subtitles. Those were then fetched
from opensubtitles I believe. In Ubuntu 15.04, that option is now
missing, I have to search for the subtitles myself and load them.

The old situation was much easier because the search is done on a file
hash which almost always resulted in correct subtitles. Can this
functionality be added again. (And why is it removed in the first
  place?)

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1683887] [NEW] Tap-to-click and two finger scrolling not working after upgrading to zesty

2017-04-18 Thread Thibaut Robert
Public bug reported:

It seems that syndaemon is not working properly and never reactivates the
tap-to-click functionality.
The problem occurs only when I use the enter key to validate my password on the
login screen. If I validate with the mouse, the touchpad is working correctly.
(It took me hours of investigation to figure out why it was always working with
guest account: because I do not use the keyboard to log in)

When broken, I make it work again with synclient TouchpadOff=0. In that
case tap-to-click is not disabled when I use the keyboard. Syndaemon is
running but seems to be stuck.
