Subject: [VOTE] Apache CloudStack 4.8.0

Hi all,

I've created a 4.8.0 release candidate, with the following artifacts up for a
vote:

Git Branch and Commit SH:
https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=cloudstack.git;a=shortlog;h=4.8.0-RC20160120T2343

Commit: 62f218b7bd005d201d1c8516180d8e6d6797

Source release (checksums and signatures are available at the same location):
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/cloudstack/4.8.0/

PGP release keys (signed using A47DDC4F):
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/cloudstack/KEYS

Vote will be open for at least 72 hours.

For sanity in tallying the vote, can PMC members please be sure to indicate
"(binding)" with their vote?

[ ] +0 no opinion
[ ] -1 disapprove (and reason why)

Re: [VOTE] Apache CloudStack 4.8.0

2016-01-25 Thread Nux!
I've added the 4.6.0 SysVM as systemvm-kvm-4.8 and attempted the upgrade (from
4.4.1).

The upgrade dies with:

http://fpaste.org/314484/14537357/raw/

I'll try to revert and also add systemvm-kvm-4.6, see if having that fixes it.

It should be called systemvm-kvm-4.6 indeed.

Re: [VOTE] Apache CloudStack 4.8.0

2016-01-25 Thread Nux!
Thanks, that was a bit unintuitive, I expected the version number to match ACS.
:-)

+1 from me based on 441-480 upgrade and various basic operations.

The fact I can no longer change service offerings with "custom" ones is a bit
disappointing as we use that pretty often, but I wouldn't categorise it as
"critical".

Re: [VOTE] Apache CloudStack 4.8.0

2016-01-24 Thread Milamber

Hello,

My vote +1 (binding)

My tests (Tests are passed on a CloudStack (1mgr+4nodes+2nfs) in real
servers topology) :

1/ Fresh install of 4.8.0RC1 (adv net) on Ubuntu 14.04.3 + KVM + NFS : OK
Some standard tests (create vm, migration, HA, create networks (normal
and RVR), create user, create ssh key, destroy vm, register template,
create snapshot, restore snapshot, create template, ip association, ip
release, static nat, firewall rule)
Some tests with cloudstack ansible module (create network, register
templates, create vm, ip, firewall rule)

2/ Test upgrade from 4.7.0 to 4.8.0RC1 : OK

2016-01-23 Thread Nux!
Hello,

Can this run with 4.7 SysVM? If not, can
http://jenkins.buildacloud.org/job/build-systemvm64-master/ be used?

Additionally, I am encountering problems when building it.
./package.sh --distribution centos63
./package.sh: unrecognized option '--distribution'

This works though:
./package.sh -d centos63

did a minimal verification creating an advanced zone with security groups
and shared network. instantiated a vm which started and was visible from
the hypervisor, in the gui and from cloudmonkey.

It is all the verification I can spare this round. Did it on both 4.7.1
and 4.8.0

forgot to mention this was on centos7 with kvm hypervisors

RE: [VOTE] Apache CloudStack 4.8.0

2016-01-22 Thread Paul Angus
I asked Rohit to take a quick look for me.
He thought that it may be related to recent changes in
./framework/cluster/src/com/cloud/cluster/ClusterServiceServletContainer.java

However, it's beyond me to fix anything in there.

You reported it twice, both 4.7.1 and 4.8.0, correct?

I can't find a catalina.out with any real output in it under centos7, does it
still need configuring in the centos7 packaging?

Although no error is visible on casual inspection in centos7, something is not
