Hi Ed,

As per my observation, your local environment was corrupted. And with the
new branch you can build successfully.

@Sanyam Goel , I am able to fix Ed's issue. No
changes are required.

Fwd: Returned post for annou...@apache.org

2018-12-21 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi All,

My previous attempts to post to the apache announce was unsuccessful. So I
requested them to share the specific reason for rejection.
Below is the reply from the group,

"The announcement contains direct links to the mirrors.
However these do not give access to the KEYS, sigs and hashes which are
needed for verification.
It is important that downloaders are reminded to verify downloads.
*Whilst the download page contains links to hashes and sigs it does not
contain the KEYS or verification instructions.*
It's also quite difficult to find the download links as is part of quite a
long page."

Based on the reply I will remove the link to -
https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer
<https://www.apache.org/dyn/closer.cgi?path=/fineract/1.2.0/apache-fineract-1.2.0-binary.tar.gz>
. But it looks like we need to update our website to include other
mentioned points.

Kindly advise

Thank You,

*Shruthi M R*

The announcement contains direct links to the mirrors.
However these do not give access to the KEYS, sigs and hashes which are
needed for verification.

It is important that downloaders are reminded to verify downloads.

Whilst the download page contains links to hashes and sigs it does not
contain the KEYS or verification instructions.
It's also quite difficult to find the download links as is part of quite a
long page.

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Apache Fineract 1.2.0 Release

2018-12-10 Thread Shruthi M R
Thanks everyone.

I have raised a PR for fineract-site containing changes that point to 1.2.0
release. Kindly review it and let me know if any changes need to be made (
https://github.com/apache/fineract-site/pull/14).

Once those changes are merged, we have to update the website. Can someone
please share details on how & who can refresh/restart so that I can point
to the website and send a mail to announce.apache.org. !

Thank you,
Shruthi

Re: Fineract 1.2.0 release

2018-11-29 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi Team,

As part of Fineract 1.2.0 release process I updated key and created binary
and tar files and did a svn commit to '
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/' . After the commit I can see that
keys file is updated and folder structure for 1.2.0 is updated too. But
files in the 1.2.0 folder is not visible in the folder.

@Devs, does files take time to show up in the link or I have done something
wrong.

@Infra, If it takes time to show up in the location, can you share the
status please!.

Appreciate your help..

Also I have created the release branch today.

Re: Option to Deactivate a Payment Type

2018-11-27 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi Mauricio,

*Currently the application doesn't support deactivating/activating payment
type.*

If you want to implement the feature, here are some points that might be
useful,

1. Add a new field to payment type table to denote status, by default let
it be active so that we do not break current structure
2. Write a new API in PaymentTypeApiResource for changing the status (or
you can use update payment type api, I prefer new API)
3. The API will be similar to updatePayment type that you can find in
PaymentTypeWritePlatformServiceImpl, instead of checking all the changes,
check the status and set the new status
4. And whenever you are using the payment type in loan/savings/share
retrieve and validate for active payment type

Thank You,

Thanks Austin. I will add API where self service user can view the loans

And does it make sense to allow self service user to add an existing client

Re: Fineract-628 Self Service APIs

2018-09-20 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi All,

Currently we are developing APIs for self service app (
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-628), and as part of this we
have already added few APIs for Loan, Savings and Share Accounts management.

Now we are working on adding guarantors screen for self service user and we
are not completely sure about whether this functionality should be exposed
to self service user or not. It will be really helpful if we understand the
existing requirement of the industry to proceed.

So kindly let us know your view on this.

Re: Viewing Reports in Self-Service App WAS [Re: APIs for self service App]

2018-07-27 Thread Shruthi M R
Saksham, you can access the reports with below mentioned API,

//DomainName/api/v1/self/runreports/{reportName}

Example,

//DomainName/api/v1/self/runreports/Client%20Listing?R_officeId=1

Currently it's not documented in the API doc. I will add it ASAP.

Re: Viewing Reports in Self-Service App WAS [Re: APIs for self service App]

2018-07-26 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi Ed,

Yes, In general (not from code's perspective) by looking at the existing
reports, we can say reports are designed for management.

However, from codes perspective, *reports can be viewed by anyone who has
appropriate permission.*

And also, *reports API for self service user is available but not
documented yet.* I am not sure about the reason behind not documenting.

And yes, we can create required reports and and assign appropriate
permissions to the user and user can access the same.

I will test the api once and if it's working as per requirement then I
will update the API document ASAP.

Re: APIs for self service App

2018-07-20 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi Saksham/Ankit,

I am working on api's for self service app. Can you please clarify why
below API's are required,

1. Support for adding guarantors

2. Support for viewing reports - I believe this is done for management.
correct me if I am wrong.

3. Support for surveys

4. Support for Applying new Shares Account - I am not completely sure about
this as it requires a savings account to be linked with shares account.

Once its confirmed I will add APIs.

Hi Anwesh,

As @Sampth resolved the issue related to user, I tried to upload a client
document.

As you have mentioned it threw exception. This is due to Amazon S3.

An issue is already raised (FINERACT-615) for the same. I will try to fix
it ASAP.

For now you can disable the amazon s3 configuration and upload documents

Re: FW: [jira] [Updated] (FINERACT-633) New Penalty Charge not appearing in Product dropdown list

2018-07-18 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi Sifiso,

Assuming you have added charge time type properly in the code base. And
created a charge for the same and selected "is penalty" (i.e, penalty
check box enabled) and selected currency which matches loan product
currency and made it active.

I assume, now you are expecting above created penalty to appear in loan
product page.

In the loan product verify currency type and charge type are same then if
you are still not getting newly created penalty then please run below query
in database and check whether you are getting the created penalty in the
result.

SELECT c.id AS id, c.name AS name, c.amount AS amount, c.currency_code AS
currencyCode,
 c.charge_applies_to_enum AS chargeAppliesTo, c.charge_time_enum AS
chargeTime,
 c.charge_payment_mode_enum AS chargePaymentMode,
c.charge_calculation_enum AS chargeCalculation, c.is_penalty AS penalty,
c.is_active AS active, oc.name AS currencyName, oc.decimal_places AS
currencyDecimalPlaces,
 oc.currency_multiplesof AS inMultiplesOf, oc.display_symbol AS
currencyDisplaySymbol,
 oc.internationalized_name_code AS currencyNameCode, c.fee_on_day AS
feeOnDay, c.fee_on_month AS feeOnMonth,
 c.fee_interval AS feeInterval, c.fee_frequency AS feeFrequency,c.min_cap
AS minCap,c.max_cap AS maxCap,
 c.income_or_liability_account_id AS glAccountId, acc.name AS
glAccountName, acc.gl_code AS glCode,
tg.id AS taxGroupId, tg.name AS taxGroupName
FROM m_charge c
JOIN m_organisation_currency oc ON c.currency_code = oc.code
LEFT JOIN acc_gl_account acc ON acc.id = c.income_or_liability_account_id
LEFT JOIN m_tax_group tg ON tg.id = c.tax_group_id
WHERE c.is_deleted= FALSE AND c.is_active= TRUE AND c.is_penalty= TRUE AND
c.charge_applies_to_enum=1

If your result doesn't contain newly created penalty, then the charge
wasn't created properly.

Thank You,

Hi Anwesh,

I logged into demo server with mifos user credentials. But I am unable to
find upload document button in client documents page.
I thought its a permission issue, so thought of adding permission, to my
surprise mifos user can't edit/update permissions nor create new user.

*So for the problem analysis can you please create a user and assign super

And yes, the issue is in demo server only , I was not able to reproduce the

Re: FINERACT- 628 and FINERACT 638 APIs for self service app

2018-07-10 Thread Shruthi M R
Hi Ed,

I went through the API docs and related fineract code. As per my
observation, we currently support only below functionalities for Self
Service App,

1. Loan account Read operations and also actions like
submitting/withdrawing new loan and loan repayment schedule
2. Saving account read operations
3. Account transfer related APIs

Above APIs documentation is available.

Currently, we don't support submitting new savings/share accounts or any
other API's requested in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FINERACT-628
.

I will start working on creation of above requested API's immediately. And
will try to provide the API structure shortly.

@Saksham, kindly ignore the API detail shared previously. Will share new
API details shortly.

Kindly let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Re: Introducing Shruthi Rajaram, Mifos Community Engineer

2018-07-05 Thread Shruthi M R
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

I wish to take few moments to say hello and to introduce myself as a newest
member of the team.
I have been working as a Senior Software Engineer since March 2017 with
Conflux Technologies, which gave good insight of fineract. Prior to Conflux
I have worked with Accenture for 3 + years.

I am excited about the projects we will be working on together in the
future and will genuinely try to fulfill the responsibilities of the Mifos
Community Engineer.

Sincerly,

*Shruthi M R*
