Re: Installer is Timing Out.

2018-06-03 Thread piotrz
Ok that's something else. I'm getting timeout as it was before on https
connection with ->
https://www.apache.org/dist/flex/4.16.1/binaries/apache-flex-sdk-installer-config.xml.

It looks like it is still https issue.

What's interesting is that when we call method load in ApacheURLLoader the
first think which we get here [1] is connection close. Later timeout is
coming.

And Again if I use native URLLoader method for that url it's working.

Justin is suggested to contact infra, but what do I tell them actually ?

Re: [DISCUSS] Building the brand for Royale

2017-09-20 Thread piotrz
Alex,

I would like to see getting the website done in FlexJS for a long time. If
Carlos will design the things, let's see what can we actually do. It just
would be awesome not waiting half year or so to launch our website.

+1 for building it in FlexJS, but before that we should have some start - no
matter in what technology. Nice and shiny website. :)

Let's give Carlos free what kind of design it will be and we will see how
much work it need to be putted in order to have it in FlexJS.

Re: [Flex JS] Flex SDK Installer always get stuck at "Finish uncompressing"

2017-08-28 Thread piotrz
Hi Alex,

I just did build using console. It look like there is a bug in Moonshine
partially.

Build in Moonshine:
Basically when I run build it has failed with same error in Moonshine, cause
every build generates custom configuration [1] which contains
0.0.0 - if there is no player version in
frameworks/flex-config.xml (since I have commented out each line related to
target-player).

I will probably raise issue for Moonshine.

Build in console:
Once I removed target-player from [2] build has been successful from
console. Unfortunately -html-template was completely omitted, so MDL example
do not have any styles.

1) I downloaded nightly build of FlexJS from jenkins
2) Removed from installer.xml "ask-air,ask-flash" and change properties
falcon.version to 0.9.0
3) I tried build simple project using Moonshine and got errors [1]
4) I've commented out in flex-config.xml all parts related to flash player

I'm not sure whether this is something specific to Moonshine, compiler or

Maybe we should actually create and move some things to CheckBoxView. It

Cause we should subscribe for event "mdl-componentupgraded" in MDL, take
MaterialCheckbox and then eventually check that instances. - I think that
should happen in View.

For now it's ok, but I may raise a jira for myself to change that.

As for the examples maybe it's worth to put them into FlexJS Tour where

how to put it as subpage of our website?

TextField has already this bead, so there is no need to add it. If TextField

This issue started to be real blocker for my client's application. If we

awesome and simply help with farther development those app in FlexJS. [1]

I think option where we are going with "localID" is ok to me. Alex mention
in the email that whoever will be looking into that should check how is
handled "id" and do similar things with "localID". The changes should be
done in MXMLClassDIrectiveProcessor, MXMLFlexJSEmitter and probably would be

I will probably start to learn compiler things, but will be on vacation next

RE: [FlexJS, MDL] Menu with dataProvider and itemRenderer API

2017-08-01 Thread piotrz
Hi Yishay,

I've analyzed your stacktrace and I think I understand why it is working in
your app and it is not in MDLExample.

As I remember from Harbs presentation from ApacheCON that your app is using
MDL library along with Basic module.

In general when someone would like to build your application using MDL
module you have to exclude default.css from Basic, cause UI is breaking up
if we will not do this.

-compiler.exclude-defaults-css-files=Basic-0.9.0-SNAPSHOT-js.swc:defaults.css

Since you probably do not have above line anywhere in your application your
list has following bead:

IBeadController:
ClassReference("org.apache.flex.html.beads.controllers.ListSingleSelectionMouseController");

Above bead emits "change" event, cause it listens to emitted by each item
click provided by bead

IBeadController:
ClassReference("org.apache.flex.html.beads.controllers.ItemRendererMouseController");

I just pushed fix for this issue, but it would be great if you could
describe in separate thread how did you combined MDL library with Basic in
your app without excluding defaults.css.

Thanks,
Piotr

Sometimes is "click" in the other places is selectedItem (MDL DropDownList)

Re: [FlexJS, MDL] Menu with dataProvider and itemRenderer API

2017-07-25 Thread piotrz
I think that was introduced by Peter after container changes. Could you check
in the history whether earlier Menu extends List ? - If extends earlier
maybe that would be better way to fix that.

Re: [FlexJS, MDL] Menu with dataProvider and itemRenderer API

2017-07-25 Thread piotrz
Hi Yishay,

But is it not working when you add "change" handler ? If not try to add to
the Menu class:

[Event(name="change", type="org.apache.flex.events.Event")]

Whatever you are going to do in order to fix that, please update MDLExample
to handle "change" event. If you will not have time to dig into that, please
raise jira I will look into that soon.

Thanks,
Piotr

Re: [FlexJS] PAYG and dataGroups

2017-07-24 Thread piotrz
I meant this kind of lines somewhere inside method:

ir = dataGroup.getItemRendererForIndex(listModel.selectedIndex) as
ISelectableItemRenderer;
if (ir != null) ir.selected = true;

I would change it to:

ir = dataGroup.getItemRendererForIndex(listModel.selectedIndex) as
ISelectableItemRenderer;
if (ir != null)
{
   ir.selected = true;
}

But if this is framework code convention let's live it as is. I just didn't
notice that is look like that.

Btw: I really would like to see in your commits more curly brackets -
especially when you are doing some changes down into the methods. - It's lot
easier to catch eventually bugs.

In such cases where you preventing from RTE I'm thinking that having bead
would be weird. PreventDataGroupFromRte? Cause you do not do anything more
adding such just-in-case code. Maybe this case is one of those when we

Hi Harbs,

I just take a look into your branch and unfortunately something is wrong.
Our Tab component in MDL application stopped working. I see currentTarget is
missing in MouseEvent:

I would like to ask you to browser-event branch to feature/browser-event - I
would like to have it in pipeline where Maven build whole framework. I will
check whether with MDLExample is happening same, cause building locally I
don't have tabs at all!

Re: [FlexJS] String.match()

2017-07-20 Thread piotrz
Harbs,

Your second thought in my opinion is better solution. My daily job is in
.NET/WPF and in C# following code

 var str = "m?o";
Regex reg = new Regex("?");
var match = reg.Match(str);

Will throw "ArgumentException A regular expression parsing error occurred.",
so there is no possibility to pass wrong format of regex.

Re: [FlexJS] Debugging package

If that's the case we should not so freely use traces in framework itself.
Eventually pass in compilation require flag for each module.
