[native-lang] Slovenian Native-lang project report 2007
Hi 1. OpenOffice.org users The biggest user in Slovenia is Supreme Court of the Republic of Slovenia which has app. 4.000 OOo installations. Other big users are Community Health Centers in Ljubljana, Maribor and Koper and some Universities. 2. Project members Slovenian OOo project has 4 active members, our work is oriented mainly on localization, some QA and support. We use the main users mailing list at OOo, which counts around 60 members. 3. Work in 2007, plans for 2008 We are working on localization - we are keeping 100% translated GUI and Help in all new versions, some members are translating documentation (howtos). Our MarCon is currently full time occupied with her family :-) Slovenian currency (Tolar) was added to EuroConverter function in OOo. We were successful in OOXML fight (Slovenia abstained). Martin is building up Slovenian Thesaurus (www.tezaver.si) and correcting/reviewing existing translations. We achieved license change for spell check and hyphenation dictionaries to GNU/LGPL so they are distributed along with OOo package - this received a very good response by our users. The main plan for 2008 is to get more active members and organize or be part of more events regarding FLOSS. Martin hopes to achieve release status of Thesaurus by end of Spring, so it could be incorporated into 3.0 release or at least by the end of 2008 into the regular builds. 4. Issues, that cut our nerves Not so many ;-) Actually, the only one is GSI/SDF file update after the translation deadline - it is kind of impossible to achieve this in Sun builds, but thanks to Pavel, this is possible at least in his build system. 5. Finances We work in the shadow of Slovenian Linux User Group (LUGOS), which is not-for-profit organization, so our work in voluntary or in some cases we get some piece of hardware to use. Re: [native-lang] Status update season!
Charles-H.Schulz pravi: And for everybody here on this list, I know you are all focused on the 2.1 release, but a status update on your project would be of course very nice! Hi Charles Slovenian team made it - we have now 100% localized OOo, meaning GUI, Help, Autocorrect, Autotext and templates (maybe I forgot something). We also succeeded to get spell check and hyphenation dictionaries under GNU/LGPL so they can be shipped with OOo distribution (from 2.2 on). One more very important thing is support for Slovenian Tolar (our currency) in Euro-converter wizard - we'll switch from Tolars to Euro on 1.1.2007 so I guess this will be very useful feature :-) With 2.1 we started (testing) QA for Linux, Mac and Windows. Plans for the future: - strengthen QA - create sl thesaurus - translating documentation A very big thank you goes to Pavel, again, for all his help and patience. Re: [native-lang] Which POT file?
Ain Vagula pravi: OpenOffice.org-OOC680_m2-POT.tar.gz is the latest one for 2.0.3, OpenOffice.org-SRC680_m170-POT.tar.gz is the latest for next release. 2.0.3 is not changing any more, you should start with m170 as there is a lot of work with helpcontent - but, do not upload the sdf file Do you have any more information about a lot of work with helpcontent? Are there many new strings/files/...? Regards Robert Ludvik - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Re: [native-lang] Call for localizing HSQLDB engine error messages
Hi Frank, all Frank Schönheit - Sun Microsystems Germany wrote: I'm subscribed to [EMAIL PROTECTED] now (Hoping that collab.net's mail server problems will not prevent this). I have a question about localization of these strings: - should the stings Grantee, Role etc. be localized or not (like in 234=2F000 Can't create a normal User without a Grantee object) - in 180=No sep. 182=No end sep. and 183=No end sep. is with sep. ment separator? If so, can it be full localized word or must it be abriveation (i.e. loc. instead of locilo)?
