Mmm Releases 9, 10 and 11 _must_ have the "incubating" tag, right?

Cheers,

Hi Matthias,

I agree to this. To help others not merge the PR's by mistake, I've added
2 labels to those 3 PRs, do-not-merge and author-details-needed.

Git repo from incubator-netbeans.git to netbeans.git

2019-04-21 Thread Tushar Joshi
Hi All,

Currently the Git repository name is incubator-netbeans.git
We will need to change it to netbeans.git as a TLP right?

Do we have a list of tasks to be done for transition from incubator to TLP
of NetBeans project?
This tasks should be added there.

with regards
Tushar

Re: [VOTE] Apache NetBeans (incubating) maven artefacts for version 9, 10 and 11

2019-04-21 Thread Craig Russell
Just one minor clarification: if the (incubating) releases were approved for
release as incubating with any disqualifying issues then these issues would
need to be corrected before releasing from the TLP. But if there were no
issues, then you can simply remove the (incubating) note.

Travis log truncated

2019-04-21 Thread Sarvesh Kesharwani

Hi Folks,

I was trying to run the travis build for some of my changes and the
build failed, but I couldn't figure out why because the log was
truncated, mentioning that the job has exceeded the maximum log length.
Is there a way to view the full travis build log?

Thanks,

No, the incubating status is not part of the code's identity, it's a reflection
of the state of the project.

Now that Netbeans is a TLP, any releases are now *not* incubating, regardless
of the state of the project when you touched the code base.

So you can go ahead and remove (incubating) from the discussion. And publish
the KEYS in the dist repo under the netbeans directory (not the incubator
directory).

I agree with this. I prefer to use the same name(i.e. not xxBeans but
NetBeans).

Plus we should run unit tests(especially php.editor) if possible. I
didn't notice for a long time that unit tests fail after GraalJS
parser was removed...

Incubator questionaire

2019-04-21 Thread Justin Mclean
Hi,

Given you've just graduated, congratulations are in order.

If you could take the time file to fill out this short questionnaire on your
incubator journey and how you think the incubating process could be improved it
would be greatly appreciated.

How do you think things could be improved?
https://goo.gl/forms/kDZt3bhCAxj2gfH63

I know some things have already been discussed on the incubator general list.

It's your choice if you want to fill this in or not and there are no compulsory
questions, all feedback is anonymous unless you wish to identify yourself.
Feedback on the form itself is also welcome. Any feedback received will only be
shared with the Incubator PMC and be used to make future podlings path through
the incubator easier.

Thanks,
Justin

P.S I'm not subscribed to this list so please CC me on any replies

Re: Travis log truncated

2019-04-21 Thread Sarvesh Kesharwani

Hi Junichi,

It's the Raw Log which is truncated. The raw log displays this at the
end : "The job exceeded the maximum log length, and has been terminated.".

Thanks,
Sarvesh

Hi Sarvesh,

You can find "Raw log" in the top right or bottom of the log. Please
try clicking it.

Hi Folks,

I was trying to run the travis build for some of my changes and the
build failed, but I couldn't figure out why because the log was
truncated, mentioning that the job has exceeded the maximum log length.
Is there a way to view the full travis build log?

Thanks,
Sarvesh
