Github user mcgilman commented on the issue: https://github.com/apache/nifi/pull/518 It appears that the unit tests I have added take a long time to complete and causes Travis to timeout and fail. Specifically, the slow running tests stand up an embedded Jetty server and deploys NiFi in order to evaluate the access controls.
