Re: SOE (Arrow Styles) file submission mechanism

And you would get credit as any other developer, in the source code and in the Release Notes. See https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123758 for a very similar example. I'd like to see it downloadable by users, a la Templates. Templates and Extensions do not cover the whole available range of OpenOffice customizations. I honestly don't know if it is possible to package palettes (.soc) or arrow shapes (.soe) files as extensions, but I've never seen extensions doing that. It might be worth giving a high-level description of what you had in mind, without spending too much effort and asking for PMC feedback. But as Jan mentioned, the ASF is a US-based non-profit corporation. So there are restrictions on what kinds of commercial partnerships we can engage in. You can see the Call for Papers here: http://events.linuxfoundation.org/events/apachecon-north-america/program/cfp Who is planning on attending from OpenOffice? I would love to, but due to restrictions I hope for a european event later this year. Same for me, I'll look forward to ApacheCon Europe 2014. To all volunteers: remember that even if you are not attending you can help with papers selection and general organization, see https://wiki.apache.org/apachecon/ContentCommitteeNA2014 And also remember to subscribe to d...@community.apache.org for conference-related announcements. For example, Kay and Louis, who already volunteered for the Content Committee, should follow the steps outlined here: http://markmail.org/message/koeybs7qhr2na6il Regards, Andrea.
