Correct. And you would get credit as any other developer, in the source
code and in the Release Notes. See

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123758
for a very similar example.

I'd like to see it downloadable by users, a la Templates.

Templates and Extensions do not cover the whole available range of
OpenOffice customizations. I honestly don't know if it is possible to
package palettes (.soc) or arrow shapes (.soe) files as extensions, but
I've never seen extensions doing that.

Hi.

I assume you mean Apache Open Office.

Your mail implies that you tried to contact to project via telephone, this
is not possible, we do not have any telephones.

If your installation provides a telephone number, then you dont have the
original Apache OpenOffice software installed. We are all a bunch of
volunteers and only available on email.

you can find the original AOO version here:

and if you want to mail us, then please write to :

New SNAPSHOT available (based on r1560772)

New snapshot builds based on the feature freeze revision

The development-snapshot CWiki page [3] has been partially updated, but
since Markup was disabled [4] in the latest Confluence update the

take some more time.

I suggest to move this page into our MediaWiki instead where generated
markup can be directly used.

I also suggest to use a different name for these kinds of snapshots,
because the buildbots provide a different of snapshot [5] that are not
built for maximum compatibility. How about renaming the release-like

now merge the top row's cells now select a column beneath that merged

that should crash openoffice and lose all your data.

I could not reproduce a crash in my AOO 4.0.0, AOO 4.0.1 and my local

These are the steps I used:
- new text document resp. new presentation
- Menu Insert - Table
- confirm insertation dialog with 3 rows and 3 columns
- Select cells of first row via Mouse or Cursor Keys
- Merge selected cells via Mouse Click on corresponding toolbar icon

I can also confirm the observed behavior in Writer.
I reproduced this behavior already in OOo 2.2.0 (released in March 2007).

This 'delete column' behavior more or less reflects what would be
deleted, if the user would select _all_ cells from a certain column.
In the given sample - 3x3 table, all cells of the first row merged -
this is the complete table.

Please do not get me wrong here.
I just want to state how the current 'delete column' behavior in Writer
can be explained and that it is not a regression.

In this case, it's OK for me.
I never observed this case because I fix always the number of columns of a
table at the beginning, and formate the table and merge cells only at the
end, only when I'm sure that all is OK in the table. Doing so, I never
encountered any problem with the table functionality.

 Hi Sheran,

You can read the official trademark policy for Apache here:

Note that some things (nominative use) require no further

The development-snapshot CWiki page [3] has been partially updated, but
since Markup was disabled [4] in the latest Confluence update the process
of updating this page has become incredibly painful and will take some more
 time.

It looks like the HTML macro has been enabled in the current Confluence
version if this helps...I haven't tried it yet though. You need to be in
edit mode to use it.

I suggest to move this page into our MediaWiki instead where generated
 markup can be directly used.

I also suggest to use a different name for these kinds of snapshots,
because the buildbots provide a different of snapshot [5] that are not
built for maximum compatibility. How about renaming the release-like
 snapshots to milestone?

Two approaches:

1) If you want to make small changes, you can create patches for the
individual files here:

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openoffice/ooo-site/trunk/content/ru/

You can modify these files and post updated versions, or patches, to a
Bugzilla issue.

2) If you want to bring the Russian site into synch with the English
website you can translate the core 30 pages here:

https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/openoffice/ooo-site/trunk/content/xx/

There is information on this approach here:

http://openoffice.apache.org/website-native.html

Which ever approach you take, you can download the files via
Subversion if you know how to use that tool. Or if it is easier you
can ask and I will send you a ZIP file of the files.

-Rob

You should have gotten to

for the 3.4.1 checksums. What did you find in error?

You can see the Call for Papers here:

Who is planning on attending from OpenOffice?

I would love to, but due to restrictions I hope for a european event
later
 this year.

Same for me, I'll look forward to ApacheCon Europe 2014.

To all volunteers: remember that even if you are not attending you can
help with papers selection and general organization, see
 https://wiki.apache.org/apachecon/ContentCommitteeNA2014

And also remember to subscribe to d...@community.apache.org for
conference-related announcements. For example, Kay and Louis, who already
volunteered for the Content Committee, should follow the steps outlined
here: http://markmail.org/message/koeybs7qhr2na6il
