FOSDEM 2015 application
Applications for FOSDEM devrooms (see for example https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Conferences/FOSDEM ) are due today. Last year we got a shared "Open Document Editors" devroom which worked rather well: https://archive.fosdem.org/2014/schedule/track/open_document_editors/ I've been exploring in the last few days whether we can directly go for the shared devroom instead of submitting separate applications that the organizers will then merge. Still, if we don't manage to get everything together in time, I plan to submit a request quite similar to last year's one, shortly before the deadline. We even have a button design ready, with an order link (even though this is in the US, so maybe a more convenient one can be located in Europe): http://www.openoffice.org/marketing/art/galleries/logos/index.html In general, we do have funding available for promotional materials and the procedure is not so complex. After all, what's needed is a budget request for promotional material here (including what you need -design-, why -the event- and a budget). I have LOST weeks of work, I am on a very important deadline in my department. what exactly happened??? can I get it back? Hello, I'm sorry to hear this, but hopefully it's something that can be solved. Could you give us a couple details? 1) What module were you using? Writer, Calc, Impress, Base? In doubt, you can find screenshots here: http://www.openoffice.org/product/ 2) What does "Register again" mean? Registration has been disabled in OpenOffice for more than 3 years (even though some text still refers to it). Do you mean the initial screen where you asked for your name, last name and initials? 3) What do you mean by "gone"? Are you trying to open your files this way? http://i.imgur.com/p5Qu6ru.png Then it's normal that you don't see them listed, but if you search the file (knowing part of its title) from the file search facilities offered by your version of Windows you will be able to find it again. Note that we prefer the "users" list (you used the "dev" list) for support requests in general. Support requests are answered with higher priority there. Look what happens if you add the divider above the event box - and push the text over to align with the text below. I just need to get it in line with the smaller birds of the right column. I couldn't get the divider birds to run across the width at the smaller scale - but it sure adds some possibilities. https://www.diigo.com/item/image/bhs8/j4e1 http://www.openoffice.org/images/campaign-divider.png"; no-repeat="" scroll="" center="" top="" rgba(0,="" 0,="" 0);=""<="" img=""> I don't know if we need a separator line/graphic between the colored boxes or above on the top. The actual problem with birds is that it seems to be created for a specific resolution. When increasing the size (as it could be seen in your screenshot) it doesn't look good as it is too pixelated - just open "http://www.openoffice.org/images/campaign-divider.png"; and increase the webpage zoom in the browser. Maybe we can use the lines between the list items on the left column? As long as it is not yet really online more changes are easy. I think http://ooo-site.staging.apache.org/images/* and http://www.openoffice.org/images/* will be merged. The "Publish" operation of the website makes the copy, indeed. I suggest 2014-eu-234x60.png also copy to this directory or it should be linked from there. This bypass the predefined adblock filter. This is being discusses on the community-dev list, see http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/community-dev/201409.mbox/browser but indeed we can use a local copy for both the banner on the home page and the one in the footer while the issue is being solved. Done for the new event box. Will do later for the footer. - To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@openoffice.apache.org
