I think that would be a good idea Matthias. My only concern would be that
we "Publish" them and not "Release" them. As to the methadology used that
should probably be discussed as we get closer to actually getting the
Getting Started Guide ready to go. Considering I had to do a search to
figure out what a PWA was, I might not be the best person to ask about
that.

Happy New Year to all and to you too.

Let's put the interests of our users in the center.

Especially in Germany, a lot of things will change in public IT in the next few
years.[1]
But AOO is not there yet, what was once a matter of course for OpenOffice.org,
we are working on that sivch change.

greetings,
Jörg

I recommend the overview article of C't as information (unfortunately with

I refer e.g. to the project "Phoenix":

It would be good if OpenOffice would be involved in such projects again, like
OOo once was.

New Year - New Chance

2019-01-01 Thread Mechtilde
Hello,

all best wishes and a good start for a new year with Apache OpenOffice.

I used the time to improve the translation process. This means I took
the recent code for the templates file and synced t with the files on
Pootle (https://translate.apache.org)

I need some time more to do the last improvements and fix a bug with the
syncronisation. so some teams have to wait till tomorrow to continue the
translation.

I also prepared two slides to visualize the process. You can find them
under https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Translation_from_4.2.

You can click on the picture to get a larger one. Fell free to ask what
you don't understand. a description will follow ASAP.

When a language project reaches 100 % UI (and HELP) I will intergrate it
into trunk so a build can be produced.

My opion is to create a new template from code when we start with the
branch 4.2.

Regards

Changing chairs is not mandatory in apache, but I respect your vision and

Like you I see this as a natural process due to changes in priorities, and
if I may add your personal life, reminding that we are all volunteers. You
have done alot for AOO and I personally hope for a great cooperation in

I've been the OpenOffice Project Chair for two years, since late 2012.
While the term is not strictly set, big Apache projects usually rotate
their Chair every 1-2 years, and OpenOffice should do the same.

So we should look at finding a new project Chair in January, and at
transitioning from me to the new Chair at the first Board meeting. This

is

a normal transition and I'd like that we make it as smooth as possible:
I'll stay as a Chair until a new one has been chosen. Stay tuned for more
information: I'll share a schedule tomorrow.

Of course, I plan to maintain my current level of activity in the

project,

and to continue as an OpenOffice committer and PMC member. It is simply
correct to rotate this (mostly administrative) role within the group.

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

2012-12-22 Thread Risto Jääskeläinen

Thank You!
There was a problem that in code from Hanya this line create a null object in
linux (with LibreOffice):

oSounMgr = CreateUnoService(com.sun.star.media.Manager_GStreamer)

For oPlayer1 I have control of stopping but for timidity I dont know how to
control command line program after start. Killall is needed for stopping sound
(from pus button on right side of card).

I have only LibreOffice in my Mint system, AOO is on WinVista system (on same
hard ware).

First my idea was to create some midi controlled animation (for all kind of
documents) but it was too difficult to find interface which can read a MIDI
note from the media player to a animation macro. Otherwise it seems to be
system depended how long it take for first sound is in the air. So there is
timing problem without such an interface.

So there is just merely random moves of drawing objects and non syncron sounds.

Greedings
Risto

imacat [ima...@mail.imacat.idv.tw] kirjoitti:

That is cool!

The KILLALL is bad, but if you do not log in as root onto your
desktop, or run timidity as yourself, then it is fine. It actually does
nothing for me, since on my Debian timidity is run as the user
timidity, not me. I still wonder why you need to kill timidity, since
it still works if KILLALL fails, as in my case.
