Re: [dev] Contribution

2007-06-20 Thread Charles-H. Schulz
Hello Ganesh,

thank you for your interest in OpenOffice.org . As a programmer, there
are two main options for you.
-Either join the VBA project (http://vba.openoffice.org and
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/VBA)
- Help with the localization . OpenOffice.org is localized in many Indic
languages (Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Malayalam, and much more). See
here: http://projects.openoffice.org/native-lang.html

Or help by working in two projects... :-) In any case, don't forget to
register and sign the JCA.

Welcome to OpenOffice.org,

Charles-H. Schulz.

Re: [dev] programming help

2007-06-20 Thread Mathias Bauer
Hi John,

(this time with links inside and with cc: to John ;-))

that sounds great. So before we talk about technical details let me
first point you to some pages about "how to become an OOo developer":

http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Main_Page
http://contributing.openoffice.org/programming.html

Besides that you should have a look on our project pages that are linked
to on http://projects.openoffice.org. Each of them has a "to do" list
that can give you a hint where a helping hand (or two ;-)) is needed.

Of course if you have a special are of interest we could surely find
something to do there. This could be an application or a part of it, our
GUI toolkit library, some system integration code etc.

Best regards,
Mathias
