ASF policy and displaying a GitHub sponsor button on repos
As you may know, GitHub announced sponsorship integration recently and repos can provide a sponsorship button [1] to facilitate connecting contributors/maintainers with donors. The ASF does not fund software development so it can remain stay independent. External initiatives are allowed if they clearly are external per https://community.apache.org/committers/funding-disclaimer.html I'm wondering if there have been any discussions about the GitHub announcements as it related to the ASF policy and whether we can/should include a button on our repos. Incidentally, are there any contributors/maintainers that need sponsorship? You can reach out to me out of band. Re: [VOTE] Apache OpenWhisk graduation to Top Level Project
Thank all the great efforts by OpenWhisk contributors. It is time for us to graduate. All the official modules, like openwhisk core, catalog, cli, runtimes, etc, have successfully gone through one or multiple releases under Apache as incubator. We have been familiar with all the legal processes of Apache. The modules have been mature enough to evolve as top level project. I vote: +1 Apache OpenWhisk should graduate. Best wishes. expand nodejs action runner handling for --main override
Currently the node.js action running for zip files requires either an index.js or package.json with a main entry module declared. I propose expanding the support for specifying "main" (e.g., wsk action create --main module.function) so that one can override the module to be loaded too. This will require a change to the `runner` module. Soliciting feedback here https://github.com/apache/incubator-openwhisk-runtime-nodejs/issues/131. Thanks. -r
