Hi Daniel,

Thank you. Indeed, this did it.

[I must say I did search up and down through the Options Dialog for a
suitable option at no success.]

Though I still miss an UNDO option in the context menu.

I don't miss it, for me ALT+BS is much faster ;-)

[sc-dev] About issue40679

2008-08-12 Thread yunjingtao
hi,Daniel
I know that KEY_MOD1 is related to key CTRL, KEY_MOD2 is to ALT, but I don't
know KEY_MOD3, KEY_MODTYPE, and KEY_ALLMODTYPE, can you tell me?

About issue40679,your comment is Will add CTRL key, and keep SHIFT for backward
compatibility.
I debug into SelectionEngine::SelMouseButtonDown
(vcl\source\window\seleng.cxx).If this is the right place, I am afraid
I have to modify this function a lot.

Best Regards

[sc-dev] Dedicated chat hour Wednesday 08:00 UTC (10:00 CEST)

2008-08-12 Thread Eike Rathke
Hi,

Some time ago we agreed upon an IRC chat hour in a time slot that
allowed both, Chinese and European colleagues, to participate during
their working hours. It was never explicitly announced in public but
just worked. However, I think it would be a good idea to introduce
that as a more official approach to enable others to get in contact with
the Calc developer team and discuss technical details of ongoing work on
issues and features. During this time slot for approximately 1 hour
usually 2 or more dedicated Calc core developers will be available on
the channel.

Date/Time: every Wednesday, 08:00 UTC during European summer (10:00 CEST, 16:00
CN time)
probably 08:45 UTC during European winter (09:45 CET, 16:45
CN time)
IRC: freenode, for servers see http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml
  Channel: #ooocalc
  FAQ: http://freenode.net/faq.shtml

cu tomorrow :-)

Re: [sc-dev] Calc Very Slow

2008-08-12 Thread Leonard Mada

Hello Eike,

I did install OOo-dev m29 and this version is clearly more responsive. I
opened the same files, SeaMonkey is active again, and the Internet is
also on the point of continously crashing, so basically same conditions,
but the Menu pop ups fast enough, and scrolling is also more fluent
(processsor speed jumps up to 92%, but this is probably an MS Win2k
issue). With WinAmp paused, it is quite OK.

Though I noticed something else: when a row is selected, the scrolling
speed drops substantially. I cannot accurately quantify, but it is
clearly visible (and I would say it is a couple of times lower).

So overall, I would say m29 is faster. If the previously failed install
was the culprit, I have no idea. Even so, it seems a good idea to
improve the speed even further. It bothers me that the row selection has
such a dramatic effect.

Sincerely,

Leonard

That may make a difference. Try disabling AutoSpellcheck for that
document.
