Re: Superset 0.25.0 is out!

2018-05-08 Thread Nishant Bangarwa
Great News!!

I went through the upgrade steps and had few questions -

1. backward incompatible database migration that requires downtime - What is
the path to be taken in case there are any issues with the upgrade and we need
to downgrade to previous version ?
will running "superset db downgrade" command and then downgrading superset
libs to older version work ?

2. Changes in security model - Does they only apply when we want to supply our
custom security manager ?
Do we need to make any changes in the configs in case we are using any of
authentication type supported by flask ?

Looks related to https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/issues/978
Have you tried setting "ENABLE_PROXY_FIX = True" in superset_config.py ?

Re: Installation SuperSet

2017-06-27 Thread Nishant Bangarwa
Hi,

Yes, It is possible to visualize HIVE tables using superset using
https://github.com/dropbox/PyHive which provides SQLAlchemy interface for
HIVE.

Apologies for the unavailability of docs, we are in process of moving it to
apache.
Are you able to access the installation page here -
https://github.com/ApacheInfra/superset/blob/master/docs/installation.rst
