Re: [Dev] Getting OperationNotSupportedException when creating the initial context for tenants

2014-01-27 Thread Ajanthan Balachandran
Hi Melan ,
Can you set org.wso2.carbon.context.RequestBaseContext property in
the jndi environment properties to get InitialContext.?

E.g :-

environment = new Hashtable();

environment.put(CarbonConstants.REQUEST_BASE_CONTEXT, true);
context = new InitialDirContext(environment);

Thanks.

Re: [Dev] Getting OperationNotSupportedException when creating the initial context for tenants

2014-01-27 Thread Ishara Premadasa
Hi Melan,

IIRC we came through a similar issue when testing WSO2 MB 2.1.0 in tenant
mode as reported in [1]. The fix suggested by Ajanthan should work in here.

Thanks!

Re: [Dev] Getting OperationNotSupportedException when creating the initial context for tenants

2014-01-27 Thread Melan Nimesh
Hi All,

Thanks for the info, first we tried with start super tenant flow for
sending each subscription message, The fix suggested by Ajanthan is more
straightforward. Now we are still getting a different error [2], but seems
no harm, any idea, is it safe to ignore?

@Kishanthan,
I think it's not intentionally, only reason is subscription happens with
particular tenant privileges.

Thanks,
Melan

[Dev] [BAM] Script getting too much time to execute

2014-01-27 Thread Chamila Wijayarathna
Hi all,
I am running following simple script to read data from a cassandra column
family and write them to a mysql database in my local host.

*CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE IF NOT EXISTS hourlyLog *
* (id STRING, siteIp STRING, userIp STRING, size INT, timesta STRING) *
* STORED BY 'org.apache.hadoop.hive.cassandra.CassandraStorageHandler'*
* WITH SERDEPROPERTIES ( *
* wso2.carbon.datasource.name http://wso2.carbon.datasource.name =
Wso2_log_analyzer ,*
* cassandra.cf.name http://cassandra.cf.name = web_log_entry , *
* cassandra.columns.mapping = :key, UserIp, SiteIp, dataAmount,
timestamp );*
 *CREATE EXTERNAL TABLE IF NOT EXISTS hourlyusage(*
* userIp STRING, siteIp STRING, amount INT, hour STRING) *
* STORED BY 'org.wso2.carbon.hadoop.hive.jdbc.storage.JDBCStorageHandler' *
* TBLPROPERTIES ( *
*'wso2.carbon.datasource.name
http://wso2.carbon.datasource.name'='Log_Analyzer',*
* 'hive.jdbc.update.on.duplicate' = 'true' , *
* 'hive.jdbc.primary.key.fields' = 'userIp' , *
* 'hive.jdbc.table.create.query' = *
* 'CREATE TABLE hourlyusage (userIp VARCHAR(15) NOT NULL , *
* siteIp VARCHAR(15) NOT NULL, amount  INT, hour VARCHAR(13))' ); *

 *insert overwrite table hourlyusage *
* select userIp, SiteIp, size, '11' from hourlyLog;*
*SELECT userIp, siteIp, amount, hour FROM hourlyusage;*

For reading 3000 entries it took about 5 minutes . For reading cassandra it
takes only less than 1 minute. Is this normal? If so is there any way I can
speed it up?
Will using H2 instead of mysql speed up the script?

Thank You.

[Dev] [SAML2 Authentication]

2014-01-27 Thread Gayan Gunawardana
I am using SAML2SSOAuthenticationService to get jsessionid to authenticate
with EntitlementService admin service.
When my role has all permission in user manager permission tree, jsessionid
is valid to authenticate with EntitlementService admin service but If I
have login permission only jsessionid is not valid to authenticate with
EntitlementService admin service.

Any suggestion regarding this or what are the other permission required to
generate valid jsessionid.

[Dev] Upgrading Guava to 13.0.1

2014-01-27 Thread Bhathiya Jayasekara
Hi devs,

Recently we upgraded guava in our platform to version 13.0.1 as new
Cassandra upgrade required it. In case of upgrading any other component for
Guava 13, this guide [1] will be useful.

Re: [Dev] Upgrading Guava version in orbit, and adding Netty to orbit

2014-01-27 Thread Bhathiya Jayasekara
Hi all,

We upgraded Guava to 13.0.1 and Netty to *3.6.6.Final in *chunk-06 release.
As they were already OSGi bundles we didn't create wso2 versions of them.
(@Isuru: Thanks for pointing out.)

If you are upgrading any component for Guava 13, this guide [1] will be
useful.

 Hi,

 I guess you don't need an orbit bundle for Guava 13.0.1 as it already
 supports to run in an OSGi container.

 You can check manifest in the jar [1]

 Hi all,

 In the process of upgrading Cassandra to version 1.2, I came across this
 dependency issue. In orbit we have Guava 12.0, but Cassandra needs Guava
 13.0.1. So I need to upgrade Guava version in orbit.

 Please reply if there are any concerns about this. We are planning to
 release this with *Chunk-03*.

 Since there are a lot of products who use this library, each team might
 have to test and make sure this upgrade doesn't break anything.

 Another dependency Cassandra 1.2 needs is Netty. So need to add
 *org.jboss.netty-3.6.6.Final
 *to orbit as well.

 Thanks,

Re: [Dev] [BAM] Script getting too much time to execute

2014-01-27 Thread Maninda Edirisooriya
Hi Chamila,

It will take sometime to execute

*insert overwrite table hourlyusage *

* select userIp, SiteIp, size, '11' from hourlyLog;*
Usually it takes some time to submit the job to Hadoop and initially create
the meta tables for Cassandra table and RDB table. It is an overhead. You
can test with much data and see whether the run time increases linearly.

Hi Shavantha,

BPS was using older version of the bpel bam publisher component since it
did not have any code changes. However, it has a dependency to older
version of ode. Hence created a new version of the component and feature.
Updated the svn with the changes. Can you check now.

Re: [Dev] [APIM] Status update on improving automated tests for API manager

2014-01-27 Thread Sanjeewa Malalgoda
Hi All,
After adding tests to cover comment, rating, token generation and host
object functionalities i was able to reach 37% line coverage and 52% method
coverage. At this point we have covered most of the common API management
related use cases. Now we need to pay attention to workflow integration,
usage publishing, token partition and some other edge cases. Also we might
need to add test cases to cover negative test cases to cover exception
classes as well. I found that auto generated thrift code is having large
number of lines and some of them never get executed. Shall we filter out
them? Any suggestions or ideas?

OVERALL COVERAGE SUMMARYnameline, %block, %method, %class, %all classes

 Hi All,
 Here is a brief update about API Manager integration test improvement.
 Before adding test cases code coverage was about 2% (default test set).
 Once we added nuwanW implemented you tube sample it was about 12%. After
 that we added 4 existing JMeter scripts it was about 24% (and i need to
 fix some remaining issues in other 2 scripts). So at this moment code
 coverage is about 24%. As we do not have usage related tests i removed
 usage packages from instrumentation file. We might need to add tests to
 cover API Manager and BAM integration to cover usage related code. Here are
 some of the areas we might need to focus on (based on emma report).

- Tests to cover Key management web service API as we use thrift by
default.
- Also found that exception classes are playing major role as we do
not test exceptions in our tests. For this we can skip exception classes of
add tests to cover exceptions.
- We need to implement throttling scenario tests to cover throttling
code base.
- For the moment we can safely ignore uri-template scenarios as we
have comprehensive unit tests for that. But we might need tests for url
mapping.
- We need to cover JWT generation and signing scenario (include claims
retrieving) as we have significant amount of code written for that.
- We need to add tests to cover tenant scenarios.
- We might need to add token parser test cases.
- Also we should add some test cases to cover all operations exposed
by host object classes(we can achieve this through more scenarios).
- Some tests to cover workflow scenarios(user creation, application
creation and subscription).
- Application level throttling tests and we found that significant
amount of throttling code will not execute.
- Add some test to cover comments, rating related operations.

 Please let know your ideas and feedback. We have planned to add test cases
 to cover missed areas.

 Thanks,
 sanjeewa.

I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what to say in the docs about
authentication. I'm reading through Twitter's documentation on OAuth, and

Re: [Dev] Twitter Connector SSL handshaking fails

2014-01-27 Thread Gayan Yalpathwala
Hi Jackie,

I have been using twitter connector for an enterprise use case in past few
days. As far as I have figured out, following are the steps to get it
working. However, some of these are purely twitter related activities,
don't know whether we can/should mention them in our docs.

   1. Goto https://dev.twitter.com/apps and create a new application. Here
   you have to provide some basic information about the app.
   2. Once the app is created it will show you the following artifacts
   which you need to use in twitter.init operation.
   [Consumer key, Consumer secret, Access token, Access token secret]
   3. Prior to deploying, visit
https://api.twitter.com/oauth2/tokenhttps://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.twitter.com%2Foauth2%2Ftokensa=Dsntz=1usg=AFQjCNE4_apO1KFJZjWn-dwt_6XfwAOR-Q
on
   your browser and click on the https trust icon on address bar and follow
   Connection tab.
   4. Click certificate information and follow details tab on the appearing
   dialog. There use 'Export' option to export the trust certificate to the
   file system.
   5. Then use the following command to import that certificate into ESB
   client trust store.
   keytool -importcert -file certificate file -keystore
   ESB/repository/resources/security/client-truststore.jks -alias
   TwitterTrustCertImport
   6. After this, restart the server and deploy the twitter configuration.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

[Dev] SVN based dep synch not working as expected {ESBJAVA-2658}

2014-01-27 Thread Dushan Abeyruwan
Hi
  $subject, any reason why this happens? KasunG and I did test the
behavior yesterday and somehow recent artifacts not checkout properly,
currently subversion 1.7 installed in my workstation and SVN dep sych only
supports subversion 6 and we are assuming svnClient lib to behave without
issues but seems it does not, anyway now we are hit with blocker in W/M
setup, where if you play around with QoS scenarios whole system getting
crash so we need a solution for this faster.
Meantime I got to know we are now recommending GIT base DepSynch and if
so were we can find proper documentation I can't find anything [1]

Re: [Dev] [ESB] Sending Binary data as request body

2014-01-27 Thread Malaka Silva
Hi Ramindu,

When using binary relay builder message is encoded and wrapped in an
envelop. [1] contains more information regarding this.

How are you trying to access the data?

If you need to access it from a class mediator you need to decode the
message.

eg:-

javax.xml.namespace.QName BINARY_CONTENT_QNAME = new
javax.xml.namespace.QName(http://ws.apache.org/commons/ns/payload;,
binary);
org.apache.axiom.om.OMElement contentEle =
((org.apache.synapse.core.axis2.Axis2MessageContext)mc).getEnvelope().getBody().getFirstChildWithName(BINARY_CONTENT_QNAME);
System.out.println(contentEle.getText());
byte[]bytes = org.apache.axiom.om.util.Base64.decode(contentEle.getText());

System.out.println(
--- );
System.out.println(new String(bytes));
System.out.println(
--- );

We did GIT based testing for ESB 4.7.0 as well as ESB 4.8.0. Came across
issues while testing and this is discussed in the mail thread *[Dev]Deployed
artifacts are not checked out from GIT in to manager node when pointing to
a fresh ESB cluster set up with same DBs and GIT repo *on dev@. After
having a discussion with the team, we decided not to test GIT based
synchronization for ESB 4.8.0 since we it was unstable.

You can inject optional parameters as required using enrich mediator as
mentioned by Indika.

So you can create the initial payload and use enrich for optional
parameters.
