Were you able to capture the HTTP headers in the response when the Chrome

  Hi all,

I have been investigating on the page download issue in Chrome when our
ELB is in the picture (this affects the user experience of our cloud
deployment). Here are some of the findings.

 1. Users have faced this issue in Chrome when they are using some of the
plugins (not using any of our products). So I removed all the plugins in my
Chrome. But the issue still exists.

 2. When these files are downloaded, when we open them, they are
corrupted (I mean, even though those are JSPs, content is some rubbish).

Hi Amila,

If the response contains the Content-Type as text/html, then it would
displayed in the browser itself. But that's not the issue in your case.

It seems the response you are seeing is GZip encoded since the
Content-Encoding header is set to GZip. It's hard to understand why Chrome
wouldn't decode it!

Hi Kasun,

I think the problem here is that the HTTP headers were also part of the
response body. So, the Chrome does not have any idea about the Content-Type.

Hi,
As I have seen synapse-samples_*.jar is not the actual jar which need to
be in class path, even I delete the above jar I can run the sample.
Correct jar would be org.wso2.esb.samples_4.8.1.jar

[Dev] [Chunk Releases]

Hi All,

If we take a released chunk as an example chunk 7 [1], under

special reason to put chunk 08 also without putting only chunk (01-07).

Hi Gayan,

As you know when we release a chunk we get a snapshot of the current branch
at the moment and move it to tag directory, The possible ways are having
chunk 08 under the chunk 07 tag is, someone has created chunk 08 before we
release chunk 7 , or there are two active chunks at the moment which is not
the correct procedure IMO.

Thanks,
Shameera.

Following the instructions on your site (

the command to do a check out.

I expected to check out what's related to chunk07 only, but it checked out
a lot of others (for example chunk 1-8 and lot of other version of the
products as well). Is this intentional or something wrong ?

Chunck-7 tag contains a snapshot of entire wso2 carbon repository as of
chunk-7 release date. This doesn't mean all the components in the checkout
is released. ESB documentation says that 4.8.1 is released on chunk 7 and
if you look at [1], that specifies all the components released under that
chunk. maven looks into this pom and deploys at the artifact deployment
phase.

Re: [Dev] [doc issue with ESB sample 380]

2014-02-28 Thread Gayan Gunawardana
Hi,

I think esb team can take that decision. Possible solutions would be we
shouldn't mention it (as you proposed) or we should mention the correct JAR
name.
If someone need to change the sample bit and explore things then mentioning
correct JAR name is much helpful rather black boxing the JAR name.

Thanks Malaka, btw seems like that synapse-samples_2.1.2.wso2v4.jar was
patched, same bundle can be seen inside patch. so we are loading from
 there right?

FYI
That doesn't necessarily means that the bundle is patched. Since, by
default there're set of patches in ESB, when you start the server for the
first time, Carbon will create a patch folder to back-up the original
jars that was there under plugins.

In ESB latest documentation (ESB481) sample 380 [1] is mentioned under
 *Prerequisites:*
Make sure the synapse-samples-1.0.jar is in your class path (by default
this jar is placed in the lib directory when installing ESB).

But under lib directory there is no synapse-samples-1.0.jar

Any way running the sample will not get any side effects because that
jar is loaded from esb_home/repository/components/plugins as
synapse-samples_2.1.2.wso2v4.jar I think correcting the document will
 resolve the conflict
