Re: [Dev] [Architecture] [VOTE] Release WSO2 Identity Server 5.7.0 RC3

2018-09-13 Thread Pasindu Jayaweera
Hi all,
TestGrid team has executed integration-tests with the RC and please find
the effort in [1].
We have observed bunch of test cases failing in our automated runs.
However when re-executing the failed ones and also doing the manual
testing, we observed the amount of failing test cases were reduced further.
Given that the team has tested the same set of test cases in same hardware
combinations and since they are passing, it could be an environment related
issue, which might need more time to investigate. We are doing more
investigation to make sure that the intermittent issues we see are
product-level issues, or intg-test case level issues.
So, please allow some time for Testgrid to cast the vote.

Thanks.

[1] - Testgrid effort on testing IS 5.7.0 RCs

No, that is not correct. Every new vote should be voted and stayed active
at least for 72 hours before the release. People have to vote in the active
thread. All votes given here will become inactive when a new release vote
is going on. They should vote again in the new thread.

[Dev] WSO2 IS 5.6 - XACML Attribute Value Array Support

2018-09-13 Thread Juan Pablo Vadell
Hi,

I can't user Array values on Attributes in a XACML.

This works.
{
"Request": {
"AccessSubject": {
"Attribute": [
{
"AttributeId":
"urn:oasis:names:tc:xacml:1.0:subject:subject-id",
*"Value": "pdp-user"*
}
]
},
"Action": {
"Attribute": []
},
"Resource": {
"Attribute": [
{
"AttributeId": "resource-id",
*"Value": "helloWorld"*
}
]
},
"Environment": {
"Attribute": []
}
}
}

Response:
{
"Response": [
{
"Decision": "Permit",
"Status": {
"StatusCode": {
"Value": "urn:oasis:names:tc:xacml:1.0:status:ok"
}
}
}
]
}

This doesn't work.

{
"Request": {
"AccessSubject": {
"Attribute": [
{
"AttributeId":
"urn:oasis:names:tc:xacml:1.0:subject:subject-id",
*"Value": ["pdp-user"]*
}
]
},
"Action": {
"Attribute": []
},
"Resource": {
"Attribute": [
{
"AttributeId": "resource-id",
*"Value": ["helloWorld"]*
}
]
},
"Environment": {
"Attribute": []
}
}
}

Response:
{
"code": 40020,
"message": "Request Parse Exception."
}

There is a way to fix this?

Thank you,

Re: [Dev] [APIM 2.6.0 to 3.0.0 Migration] Error handling in CLI tool

2018-09-13 Thread Isuru Perera
+1 for Uvindra's comments. As I understand, If there is an error, user will
know which command is causing errors. Therefore, we don't need to change
the current approach.

Re: [Dev] [APIM 2.6.0 to 3.0.0 Migration] Error handling in CLI tool

2018-09-13 Thread Uvindra Dias Jayasinha
I think the method currently used by the tool(log and handle at source of
issue) is fine. We don't gain anything by throwing this up to another level
and handling it there, it will just complicate the code. This style
currently used by the CLI tool is adequate since it is not a server that
needs to run continuously but a client application that should exist when
an error is encountered.

In our Java code that runs on the server, having the stack trace helps the
engineer to find the execution flow, but this makes no sense for a client
side CLI tool.

There is no such thing as a standard approach, only the approach that is
most suited for the application, which is different depending on the
application.
