As far as I know it need Interoperability and internetwork function ( IIF) between MAP and ANSI-41, is it right? Does any one know about the concept of this IIF ? thanks Wicak Andreas Fink Global Networks Switzerland AG -- Tel: +41-61-333 Fax: +41-61-334 Mobile: +41-79-2457333 Global Networks, Inc. Ok, good to know. Thanks -Original Message- From: Igor Ivoilov [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: mercoledì 17 settembre 2003 17.29 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: SAR well tested? You' are right. NACK is not imlemented for receiption. I did not implement it yet just because I never met a problem with that and have other very urgent stuff. -Original Message- From: Marco Fassiotto [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, September 15, 2003 8:48 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: SAR well tested? Hello, I started to look into the kannel code a few days ago (very few) and I am currently following the SAR implementation, finding a few things that need clarification (beside being a newbie on kannel I also happen to be a newbie on WAP). However, here is the question regarding the WTP responder. On reception of a SARed transaction, process_sar_transaction() adds the first invoke and the following segm-invokes to the list of received blocks using add_sar_transaction(). When it is time to ACK/NAK a group (GTR=1), there is no check for a complete reception of all blocks in a group, and it is always built an ACK packet despite the fact that one of them may have been lost. Sending a segmented result does not seem to suffer of the same problem as the state machine is prepared to receive a NAK and to resent the lost blocks. I am sure I am missing something and hope that someone can help shed some light. Thanks Marco
[CFP] own KSF vs. ASF project
Hi list, this is a call for participation: Alexander and me would like to invite all codebase developers with CVS rights to participate in an online discussion via IRC for the future organizational aspects of Kannel. The place is: IRC channel #kannel irc.freenode.net The date and time is: Fri, 19th Sep 2003 --! mark this in your diary ;) 2:00pm CET The topics we want to have discussed are mainly on how we are about forming a legal body to hold all copyright of the Kannel source code and act as representative to the outside world. There are two options we currently focus on. First - forming an own foundation, the KSF. Seconds - letting Kannel incubate into the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) as project. The second option has some objectives that should be reviewed, please see http://incubator.apache.org for more details on how Apache incubates projects. Main effect we would reach with an Apache incubation would be IMO: * more popularity for the who project, in means of new developers and commercial companies incorporating the software into commerical products (think of adding Kannel into IBM's WebSphere application server, etc.) * less organizational overhead, in means of all the things we would have to do while forming an own legal body. * a well organized developer community and infrastructure base. Discussions should be opened now on this mail thread and actively tomorrow in the IRC session! Please paticipate actively! Connection reset by peer
Hi list, I've got a little problem with the http-administration of Kannel: when I access the web interface with IE 6, an HTTPClient is well created and reseted. But when I close IE, just before the destroying of the HTTPClient, I got: [1] ERROR: Error reading from fd 37: [1] ERROR: System error 104: Connection reset by peer This is not happening when browsing (and exiting) with Opera 7 browser !!! Kannel 1.2.1 working on a Linux Mandrake 9.1 (kernel 2.4.21) IE 6 working on Windows XP. Anyone has an clue ??? Thanxs Christophe

Too bad.. I wont be there as I have a conference call exactly at this time... I might be there a bit later the discussion whould be open a couple of hours. I guess all of us who are online can have their IRC clients open until evening, so we can have a wide ranged discussion. BTW, we will also log the session and make it available afterwards for review. So be warned ;) Stipe [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- Wapme Systems AG Vogelsanger Weg 80 40470 Düsseldorf Tel: +49-211-74845-0 Fax: +49-211-74845-299 E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Internet: http://www.wapme-systems.de --- wapme.net - wherever you are
