Cannot change fedora-cvs flag on bugzilla

2012-11-23 Thread Jamie Nguyen
Hi all,

Having some trouble for this package review request:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=877705

It has been approved, but I can't set the fedora-cvs flag. This has
worked in the past, but maybe something to do with different email
addresses:

FAS email: j...@jamielinux.com
Bugzilla email: jamieli...@fedoraproject.org

Would appreciate any help.

Kind regards,
Jamie

Your bugzilla email has to be the same as the FAS email.

those emails must match, otherwise bugzilla can't know about the Fedora
 privileges like setting the flags.

I had a conversation with (IIRC) Kevin Fenzi about this a few months
back. He did some magic to let me use jamielinux@fedoraproject for my
bugzilla account, and I was under the impression that it would still
work for me.

I've had no complaints and everything has seemed to be fine, but perhaps
the flags are an edge case. The easiest thing to do might be just to
change my bugzilla email address to match..

Kind regards,
Jamie

Well, I changed my bugzilla email to match, logged out and back in, and
it still doesn't let me change the fedora-cvs flag.

Any ideas?

For some services you may need to wait for a short period of time (maybe
an hour or so) for things to sync up.

yes, that mapping is still in there and active.
Our scripts give your privs to that bugzilla email account, so it
should have the needed stuff to set flags.

I've had no complaints and everything has seemed to be fine, but
perhaps the flags are an edge case. The easiest thing to do might be
just to change my bugzilla email address to match..

That won't work unless you have us now remove that mapping.
It's a static mapping... this fas account has this bugzilla account you
 should grant packager privs to.

Do you simply not see the flags? or there's no edit field?

 kevin

I changed the bugzilla email to j...@jamielinux.com earlier to see if it
would make a difference, but as you've just explained, that won't work.
I've just looked in my account and it won't let me change the email
address again, at least not for a few days. Not really sure what the
best course of action is at the moment. I'd be happy with either of the
email addresses.

I can see the fedora-cvs flag, but it's greyed out and I can't select it.

Kind regards,
Jamie

Just a wild guess but you don't appear to be in the packager group. Just
the CLA groups and the fedorabugs group. Since it only makes sense to
change the cvs flag if you are a packager perhaps you are required to be in
the group before you can edit the field.

Ok. Ignore me. FAS clearly shows you are in the group but for some reason
admin.fedoraproject.org/community doesn't show you in the group. Will see
about filing a bug shortly.

On my FAS it says I'm also in Fedora Packager GIT Commit Group and I
own or co-maintain 10+ packages. Is that what you're referring to as
packager group?

Well, if the j@ one is fine, I can remove the special mapping for the
fedproject one. Or you could wait a day or two and rename it back.
I tried and it won't let me rename it for you sadly. ;(

I can see the fedora-cvs flag, but it's greyed out and I can't select
 it.

Once we get the right account setup, we can sort it out...

Feel free to file a infrastructure ticket on this and we can continue
there? Or drop by #fedora-admin on irc.
