Toderel, the default expiry for pastebin is never. For anything else
it requires user intervention. Hence the reason I included one that
will be having it's second birthday very soon previously.

theres also the fact many of the logs are pulled from CLI only sources, so
they just pastebin the logs and move on, I wonder how hard it would to be
build a little button in bugzilla that says: copy log from pastebin - with a
url box to the pastebin id... and it just pulls it...

so, we have a little problem here, pastebin is for transient data logs (
max 30 days if i remember correctly) and good bug reports need permanent
logs! why can't both world be happy by just make bug report infrastructure
pull out automaticaly, as permanent cached data, pastebin logs links?
is true, this nice kinky wish_to_be automations is for lazy persons who
are so lazy that can not afford to upload logs twice, one time to pastebin
and one more time in bugreport infrastructure ...
this announce is also true for pastebin.sabayon.org? i think it is!

why add something to scrape the Pastebin data into a file when its
detected in the bug input field...
if facebook can manage similar with their status ticker BS why can't we?
also James you comment is invalid as it contains a link to pastebin

Obviously a system needs to be created where by the data on paste bins
get
merged into the ticket thus meaning only when the ticket is resolved
the
data is removed this may require someone copying and pasting this
into the
ticket..
The alternative is someone ask HP for a license to use HP SM7 to track
tickets... Haha yeah, no...
Afaik if users paste their log then that is a massive step to solving
the
bug.
Another question would be, has anyone got a system where the sabayon
paste
bin expires after a year or so? Just an idea.

Users are use to pastebins, this is what they are told to use in IRC

Fabio, I understand you are getting upset of people using
pastebin+bugzilla and making tons of mistakes, but instead of
replying:
Thanks for using Pastebin with Bugzilla.
The stuff you pasted is now gone forever.
Smart, huh.
You could have replied:
Please don't use Pastebin with Bugzilla, or the stuff you paste
will
be lost and your bug will be marked as INVALID. Please attach your
files to this bug report, and read carefully the instructions
available at LINK.
Many users have never seen a bugzilla before, maybe they neither
know
how a pastebin works, we cannot require users to born with bult-in
knowledge. I know dealing with ignorance is irritating, but it's
necessary.
BTW, for this very specific issue, a bot with the above fixed reply
acting every time a *pastebin.* pattern is detected would work
IMHO.

In my opinion, as long as it's clear for the users that they
should
use this and not that because that expires. I see nothing
wrong with making that invalid. But it should be clear that
they
should use this instead.
