[Dhis2-devs] Bug in Pivot app
Hi, Think I've found a bug in pivot app. We have a category that we are using as a dimension. The category options have different permissions based on user groups. In the pivot app, in the dimension, the list of category options is filtered correctly according to the permissions. However, if I [select al] then the system does not take account of the permissions in the resulting output Can you please advise if this is expected behaviour or a bug? I suspect the latter. Have seen in v2.22 build 21976 also in v223 build b437bc2. Also present in current stable 224 online demo. To recreate: Login craigTest1 / password craigTest1 Dimension craigtest Should see just one option - craigtest1 If select all and update resulting output has craigtest1 and craigtest2(private). [Dhis2-devs] Using API to get translated collections
Hi, Hope all are well. I'm trying to get translations of some things through the API. Items and associated collections.In the example below, the api returns translated dataElement displayName but not translations of the associated collections (dataElementGroup displayName): api/dataElements.json?fields=:id,displayName,dataElementGroups[id,displayName]=es Wondering if this is a limitation with the API or an issue with the format of the request?The developer manuals don't offer any examples on translations. Hi Jason, Hope you’re well. We have been trying the smart phone app and android data capture. From what I can see neither of these options allow us to enter dataset level attributes (cat combos). Just tested the mobile light and seems that’s also the same. The PDF form download/import also does not allow for attributes. Going to be a challenge as means we have no low bandwidth option available to us for aggregate reporting. Not sure what others have done to get around this? I suppose not use dataset level attributes. Araz mentioned yesterday in response that this is on the roadmap but with no fixed version yet. Look forward to seeing the feature as will be very valuable for us in many contexts. Hi, There is an option at program level to indicate whether future enrolment/incident dates are allowed, however in my case I am creating an attribute of type date and the widget does then not allow future dates. The use case is that we are exploring use of tracker to manage some contracts(donor grants) and therefore the attributes in question would be grant start/end dates. Not sure if the lack of future dates on date attributes is expected behaviour or not. Or I’m missing something and the future date setting is elsewhere. Hi, Think I might have found a bug in v2.22 Event Reports. Replicates on the play AWS demo (snapshot). Child Programme, Birth If I run a report with data elements then works fine. If I include an attribute then get no data back (I'm using gender). No errors sent to console. Are you saying it is named timestamp even on a fresh new database? [Dhis2-devs] Persistence of Search Parameters in new metadata app
Hi, I have a quick question on the behaviour of the new metadata app. When searching and editing a data element, upon save the previously filtered search parameters and data element list is reset. Just want to know if this is planned behaviour or a bug. Think was different in previous versions. It means that if editing a list of data elements from a filtered list one has to repeatedly run the search and filter. Re: [Dhis2-devs] Dealing with Updated/Expired data elements/indicators
Hi, Hope all are well. I can envisage a situation where a given indicator/data element is changed in some way (perhaps a changed calculation or definition). For historical reporting purposes we would want to keep the old version of the indicator/data element but would prefer that it is not apparent for standard users that are building new datasets. Does anyone have any experience of this that they could share - how they went about dealing with it? Have thought about a group for active/inactive items or perhaps changing the name to indicate it is inactive, but not sure what would be the best approach. Would be good to hear your experiences. [Dhis2-devs] Category Option Combination Craziness
Hi, Good work on the new release. Looks cool! I'm exploring different config options for a possible system for NRC. I'm looking at datasets with 4 attributes (project code, team, implementing partner and target/actual. The potential number for each option is (200 new per year, 9, 10, 2).That's a spectacular amount of combinations - especially after a few years of use. Can Dhis2 cope? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I recognise that I could cut some options back and go for a slightly different config, but the above would be the preferred/easiest option for us.
