[Dhis2-users] Reporting rates options with data set categories
When data is captured and tagged to data set categories the reporting rates are based on the organization unit tagging under the category option. However in a scenario where some category options are not known/ missing and an 'unknown' category option is added to the category as an alternative for the missing value, then the reporting rates will never be correct (above 50%). Since such a configuration supports partner reporting, i.e. donors, implementing partners, etc, Is it possible to maintain that configuration and also have reporting rates based on the organization unit tagging under the dataset? regards, Sam Kasozi +256 788-993-565 Skype: sam.kasoziug ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users Post to : dhis2-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Thanks, Ola and Prosper. The data is indeed part of the aggregate forms. Find below the fix to the error message. -- Forwarded message -- From: Long Ngo Thanh long.hispviet...@gmail.com Date: Thu, Jul 23, 2015 at 12:02 PM Subject: Re: [Dhis2-users] Failed Import for received Messages/ Successful when Manually Imported [Re-Import] To: Sam Kasozi kaso...@gmail.com Hi Sam, I found the issue and the way to fix it. This is caused by a logic deep inside of the way DHIS2 search for user. Basically, the system won't be able to find the user associated with phonenumber if the *Allow users to grant own user roles* is not enabled. To enable it you have to go to Apps = Settings = Access, then check on the checkbox Allow users to grant own user roles This checkbox means anyone who can access to the user management page can add or remove permission for himself/herself. This is not the best solution but it is the urgent solution. Re: [Dhis2-users] Failed Import for received Messages/ Successful when Manually Imported [Re-Import]
Hi Alex, What would be the implication of this? P.s There are 2 instance running, one which is a 2.15 which successfully receives the messages and the 2.18 which is having the problem. The fact that the messages are received in the mobile configuration view for received messages means that they are successfully routed by the SMS WAR file to the correct instance. I have been wondering if there was a process in 2.18 that changed and is hindering the successful import. However if there is anyone successfully using the Alert parser with this version, then that is not the case. regards, Sam Kasozi Information Systems Consultant HISP Uganda | GHSI - Uganda MOH - PH Emergency Operation Center +256 788 993565 | +256 757 662752 kaso...@gmail.com | skas...@pheoc.go.ug kaso...@gmail.com | Skype: sam.kasoziug On Wed, Jul 15, 2015 at 4:48 PM, Alex Tumwesigye atumwesi...@gmail.com wrote: Dear Sam, According to the log extraction below, it shows redirection (302) 216.104.201.102 - - [15/Jul/2015:12:05:56 +0300] GET /dhis/dhis-web-maintenance-mobile/checkNewMessage.action HTTP/1.1 302 - 216.104.201.102 - - [15/Jul/2015:12:05:56 +0300] GET /dhis/dhis-web-commons/security/login.action HTTP/1.1 200 4110 10.0.0.25 - - [15/Jul/2015:12:05:56 +0300] POST /dhis/sms/smsinput.action? Re: [Dhis2-users] Accessing HTML report in standard reports
Hi Bridget, - Click on that particular standard report and chose the 'Edit report' option. - When the Edit Window opens, click the 'Get current design', which will download either a '.jrxml' file, that can be edited with Jasper Studio (Free for Download) Or an HTML report template. Note that with Jasper reports, you can use the pivot table to recreate the jrxml file especially if you need to change the datasource. Otherwise for reference on designing standards reports, you can review the section in the developer user. https://www.dhis2.org/doc/snapshot/en/developer/html/dhis2_developer_manual.html regards, Sam Kasozi Information Systems Consultant HISP Uganda | GHSI - Uganda MOH - PH Emergency Operation Center +256 788 993565 | +256 757 662752 kaso...@gmail.com | skas...@pheoc.go.ug kaso...@gmail.com | Skype: sam.kasoziug On Wed, Jun 10, 2015 at 5:55 PM, Bridget Magoba bridgetmag...@mifumi.org wrote: Dear all, Am maintaining DHIS2 that was configured by someone else. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Aggregation query builder
Hi Channara, While it might not have an explicit 'IF', with the help of: 'AND', 'OR', '==NULL', '!=NULL' and other logical operators, most if not all scenarios of the IF - Condition can be evaluated especially since the goal is to aggregate a value only if a specific condition holds. i.e if( *Registration !=NULL*) THEN ... Aggregate The same condition in RED is what would go in the condition text area. If it is a nested IF(one inside the other) , then combining the different conditions with AND will yield the same effect. regards, Sam Kasozi Information Systems Consultant HISP Uganda | GHSI - Uganda MOH - PH Emergency Operation Center +256 788 993565 | +256 757 662752 kaso...@gmail.com | skas...@pheoc.go.ug kaso...@gmail.com | Skype: sam.kasoziug On Mon, Mar 2, 2015 at 2:02 PM, Chau Thu Tran cthut...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Channara, Aggregation query builder doesn't have if-condition Tran Chau On Mar 2, 2015 4:30 PM, channara rin rin.chann...@gmail.com wrote: Hi DHIS2 family, Do you know Aggregation query builder has if-condition? We have a wide range of features and improvements for you. The main focus of this release has been performance, analytics, data exchange and interoperability. *Better performance and scalability:* Several parts of the system work faster and smoother, including loading of the organisation unit tree, loading of meta-data in data entry, import and export of data and generation of resource tables. Data entry meta-data now respects the offline hierarchy level setting, making it possible to handle very large org unit trees and number of data sets. Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-dataentry/index.action *Option codes:* Options in option sets now have codes as well as names, where the code cannot be changed. This implies that options are more robust, since the name of the option can be changed and translated into multiple languages without affecting existing data or attribute values. All apps will display the option name in the user interface and use the option code for fetching data from the system. In the list of option sets, click option management to view options: Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-maintenance-dataadmin/optionSet.action | Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-event-reports/index.html?id=fA9MsWSqfc7 *Average aggregation operator:* Analytics now support an average aggregation operator where data will averaged in both the time period and organisation unit dimensions. The current average operator has been renamed to Average (sum in org unit hierarchy) to better reflect what it is actually doing. Screenshot http://folk.uio.no/larshelg/images/217/average-operator.png *Long text:* The system support long text data values and comments. A data value can now store up to 60'000 characters, which is the equivalent of 12 pages of text. This makes the system suitable as a text repository. This is useful e.g. for using to system to store narratives linked to data elements and organisation units. See form Mortality 5 Narratives on demo: Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-dataentry/index.action | Screenshot http://folk.uio.no/larshelg/images/217/text-data-entry.png *Text in analytics:* The analytics engine now support text. This means that you can produce pivot tables and standard reports with textual content. This is useful e.g. to present narratives next to data element values in the same report. Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-pivot/index.html?id=u17G7LxWEK6 *Browser support notification:* The front page now shows a notification for people using a browser which is not supported by DHIS 2. From version 2.17, Internet Explorer versions 6, 7 and 8 are no longer supported. Screenshot http://folk.uio.no/larshelg/images/217/browser-support-notification.png *Apps as start page:* External apps can now be set as start page from settings appearance start page. Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-maintenance-settings/systemAppearanceSettings.action *Display name in analysis apps:* A new user setting lets you define whether to use the name or the short name of meta-data items in all analysis apps, both aggregate and event-based. As an example, it lets you define whether to display the full name or short name of data elements in the pivot table app. You can access user settings from Profile Settings: Demo https://apps.dhis2.org/demo/dhis-web-commons-about/userSettings.action *Simpler event analysis UI:* The selection of data items in event reports and event visualizer has become simpler to use. You can now easily select and remove items from dynamic drop-downs. Demo http://folk.uio.no/larshelg/images/217/event-item-selection.png *Event analysis option ordering:* The order of options in option sets are now respected in event-based pivot tables and charts. Re: [Dhis2-users] dhis.war deployment on Windows platform
Hi Dayo, assuming PostgreSQL is installed and the database is created with the following: Login Role (User): dhisuser User password: dhispwd Database: dhis2dbase Then the hibernate.properties configuration file would be as thus: hibernate.dialect = org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect hibernate.connection.driver_class = org.postgresql.Driver hibernate.connection.url = jdbc:postgresql:dhis2ug hibernate.connection.username = dhisuser hibernate.connection.password = dhispwd hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto = update To tell the DHIS 2 where to find the configuration file, create a system Environment Variable DHIS2_HOME, with the directory path to the hibernate.properties configuration file i.e DHIS2_HOME: C:\... Another Environment Variable you need to set is the JAVA_OPTS, which allocates memory to the java process JAVA_OPTS: -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m The current DHIS2 WAR file (version 2.11) is about 80MB, which is higher than the default maximum size that can be deployed by Tomcat 7.x. To correct this, increase the max-file-size and max-request-size from 50MB (52428800) to at least 100MB (104857600) by editing the ‘web.xml’ file in the directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 7.0\webapps\manager\WEB-INF (in my case). http://dhis2.org/development From the Tomcat Manager: Under Deploy section, choose the WAR file to upload, Deploy and wait (about 3-5 minutes in my case) If all is well, then the DHIS2 instance will be loaded under the Applications Section Click on it under the ‘Path’ column to start Hope this helps, Sam On Sat, May 11, 2013 at 9:12 PM, Dayo Adeyomoye deemo...@yahoo.com wrote: Hi All, What config does one need to do if dhis.war is deployed on windows using apache tomcat. Re: [Dhis2-users] Web API data element category combination option IDs
Hi Lars, I think i would need to get this more clearly. If i take a scenario from one of the datasets in the Ug DHIS2 - HMIS 105:2 and we specifically look at the Tetanus Immunization section (2.9) It has a data element category TT Vaccine (for Preg Women, non-Preg women Immun in Sch); which also happens to be the name of the data element category combination The data elements for that category combination include Tetanus Immun dozes from 1 up to 4. From the Web API; Navigating from the Data elements, and then through the categoryCombo, then through each CategoryOptionCombos yields the same ID's for each data element as shown below. CategoryOptionCombos Preg Wom Non-Preg Wom Immun Sch Tetanus Immunization Dose 1 pvO9TkTgA7C bdBwblYHGr0 WmCbPR9n3TT Tetanus Immunization Dose 2 pvO9TkTgA7C Am wondering how i can specify get an ID for say Tetanus Immunization Doses 1 for Pregnant Women. I entered some longitudes and latitudes of some health facilities but they do not display in the map as points when i generate the thematic layers and the facility layers Questions: 1. How do i import all the coordinates to the coordinates field into DHIS2 This process is documented in chapter 17 of the user manual: http://dhis2.org/doc/snapshot/en/user/html/ch17.html The process is a bit cumbersome and needs to be improved. It assumes that your data are in ESRI Shape format which can be converted to GML using for example ogr2ogr. (It also assumes that you have made sure the names in your file match exactly the names you already have in DHIS2) In order to convert a CSV file or spreadsheet to the shape format, you can make use of Quantum GIS http://support.mapbox.com/kb/mapping-101/using-quantumgis-converting-a-spreadsheet-with-coordinates-for-use-in-tilemill If you are comfortable with MS Access, may be faster to link both the coordinate table and the Postgres organisationunit table into Access using an ODBC connection, but you have to make sure you enter in the right format Knut 2. How do i get the facilities to display as points in the GIS module in the thematic and health facility layers after adding them manually. If you enter longitude and latitude for facilities through the organisation unit module interface they are ready to use in the GIS immediately. If you enter the coordinates directly in the database you will have to restart the server. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users Post to : dhis2-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users Post to : dhis2-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp -- Knut Staring Informatics, U. of Oslo http://hisp.uio.no +4791880522 ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users Post to : dhis2-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp -- Sent from my mobile device ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users Post to : dhis2-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~dhis2-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Re: [Dhis2-users] Custom data entry forms compatibility
Hi Lars, Thanks for the Update. You had recommended using section forms for some of the lengthy Uganda HMIS forms (Inpatient and Outpatient). I am wondering whether the upgrade would produce more or less the same result as the section forms if we were to revert the lengthy forms to custom forms. Sam. 2011/7/18 Lars Helge Øverland larshe...@gmail.com Hi all, just wanted to inform you that we have done a modification in custom data entry forms which means that you can *not* downgrade from version 2.4-SNAPSHOT (latest development preview) to version 2.3. Sorry for this - the custom forms had not been changed for years and needed an overhaul in order to load faster and be compatible with new browser versions. The upgrade will happen automatically and there is no need for any action on your side.
