Push pornography is a major issue for minors in Australia (push being pornography that is not accessed directly; rather the child visits a non-porn web that causes porn popups and/or installs a BHO that accesses porn sites without user intervention). Filters are one method of negating these threats, although I acknowledge not the only method.
