Re: [IxDA Discuss] Johnny Holland - it's all about interaction

2008-11-03 Thread Will Evans
I do wonder about the image for the article in the CTA not linking to the
article itself but to a lightbox window of the image, which isn't really any
bigger than the original image - Make the image a link to the article - get
Fitt's Law on your side - the bigger the target, the easier it will be for
people to read the article about Adrian Chan and his SIxD

visually comfortable in the term of color, but the layout may need
improvement.

1) Too much elements clutter the screen. Take the "A Social
Interaction Primer" for example, the big tag on the left and the
small tag on the right display same information. What's more? They
lead to the same page. So I really feel confused what's the
difference between them and why put such tags with same content and
function.

2) general position. I feel the location of "Johnny need you" part
tricky.

I don't think it's too cluttered at all, but the two article CTAs for Social
Interaction Primer isn't confusing at all, just redundant, and those two
pieces or real estate should probably be completely different areas for
different purposes.

Also - under Books - which of those is not like the others? Kite Runner
(while a decent book), has nothing to do with the other books which are all
classic interaction design books - get rid of books and all other content
that doesn't fit into the ontology of your site.

My 2 cents. But still - a noble endeavor and darn decent design - keep it
up.
