Re: [slim] Pandora no longer working since August 30th on Squeezebox
You mean MySqueezebox.com, right? The web site! The server doesn't count here. And I'm not talking about the language, the country setting is the important part. Another reason could be that you disabled the plugin in the server settings --- learn more about iPeng, the iPhone and iPad remote for the Squeezebox and *New: Logitech UE Smart Radio* as well as iPeng Party, the free Party-App, at penguinlovesmusic.com pippin's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13777 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99562 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Beta: SqueezeConfig - UDAP Config tool for Android
Thanks for the file Tex. I was able to reset the SB3 (by holding the + sign of the remote on boot) and reset to default. SqueezeConfig then found the device and I was able to configure the new network architecture. Despite having a broken display and a new network design I was able to bring a 'broken' device back on line. My thanks to Christian and Tex for the app. Server: VortexBox Appliance v2.2 Living room: SB Touch Audioengine 5+ Basement: SB3 Alesis M1 Active MkII Bedroom: Squeezebox Boom Studio: Squeezebox Boom cphan's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14522 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76584 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

JohnSwenson wrote: Hi Zsolt, I posted a message about a power button in the other thread in General. Please read that and respond there. I'm interested in why you specifically want HALT, is it just to save power or is there some other reason why halting is important? Thanks, John S. Mainly habitual reasons: some time ago a lightning fried my PC -everything- and in the neighbor many other things. I didn't have surge protection but now I do, though I feel more comfortable to keep all my precious electronics powered off from a manual switch when not used. I'm living in a rented wooden house with lot of wood furniture and flammable things around, even though I think all my DIY stuff are safe I wouldn't bet my life on it. Call me paranoiac but these are important for me. I'm using the wand carrier board and did not plan to use the CSP1 since I have my own external DAC. If the PWR_BUTN signal is not used on the carrier board then I can forgot about it - I might hack a small script that monitors one of the GPIO pins. Re: [slim] Community Funded Squeezebox Replacement - Would you be interested?
OK I think I get it, you want an external button to initiate a safe shutdown so you can pull the plug when not in use. The signal does exist on the module but the wand carrier doesn't use it. There is a button on the wandboard but it is the reset which starts a boot, not a shutdown. The pwr-butn signal is brought out to a test point on the wandboard, but I have no idea where it is on the board. It would be interesting to hook a button up to that test point and see what happens when pushed. John S. [slim] Techhive - High Res Audio Article
Came across this article this morning that I thought I'd pass on. Some of the best parts are the reader comments. The one thing I didn't see mentioned is the loudness wars that is causing the dynamic range to be destroyed. http://www.techhive.com/article/2048085/why-high-resolution-audio-is-an-industry-pipe-dream.html 2 Duets - 1 for upstairs and 1 for downstairs Rock Solid with LMS 7.7.3 and WHS 2011 w3wilkes's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22973 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99610 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
