Re: [slim] How to delete a Genre tag?

2013-10-22 Thread bakker_be

While I don't doubt that ghost entries exist (haven't had one, but
anything's possible), to me it doesn't seem that this was the case here.
IMO it was just incorrect use of the MusicIP plugin, as in:

- Letting LMS get tag info from MusicIP, all you need is the mixable
status, and if you use Spicefly Sugarcube you don't even need that
- Not rescanning in MusicIP after changing tags, if for some reason
you absolutely want to import tag info from MusicIP

This just resulted in the incorrect tag being imported over and over
again from MusicIP.

Sorry but I don't have the list. I'll send you tomorrow the list of

by sending info what driver it 's using in Linux and does it require
 firmware files?

I have successfully used these Wifi adapters in AP mode with Daphile:
Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N 6235, rev 24 (iwlwifi)
Atheros AR9285 Rev:2 (ath9k) Mini Pci-express card
ZyDAS ZD1211B 802.11g (zd1211rw) USB WLAN dongle

Daphile Wifi hotspot is using hostapd and it's configured with
driver=nl80211. Maybe you could find more compatible adapter by googling
for example: hostapd nl80211 compatible adapter. And let's hope some
other users would share their experiences.

One of my Wifi adapter (rtl8192ce: Using firmware
rtlwifi/rtl8192cfw.bin) does not work properly in AP mode although iw
phy phy0 info claims Supported interface modes: AP. The hotspot seems
to be working but the authentication fails.

Sorry but I could not find any info related to Intel 3925ABG which would
have helped to understand the problem. Daphile consists the driver and
firmware for Intel 3945ABG but

2013-10-22 Thread mintaudio

Thanks for the info -Will try one of those. The Intel 3925ABG will
display the APs, but not connect when given the key. This normally works
fine with wpa-supplicant.

I will try booting up with a live cd at some point so I cannot identify
the driver.

That's a Tunein thing, I think. They only offer wma now.

I wondered if AAC works in the BBC iPlayer plugin.

Don't forget there are two types of AAC stream run by different servers
both of which can be played by the plugin - Flash/AAC (which can be
tested through a browser on bbc's websaite) and also the http/AAC
streams.

Are both not working ?

Actually, this query originates from a Reciva user in the USA - he's
lost all the AAC streams. The question is whether it's a Reciva issue
or a BBC one, or a region issue. Seems others outside the US do get BBC
AAC ...

The problem is that plugin by default will play the Flash/AAC stream and
a user saying AAC is working so may not be playing the stream format
that the receiva user is testing. The speed will tell which format is
being used Flash/aac is 32kbps and http/aac is 56kbps.

Yes it works with the iPlayer plugin!

I used this url in my favorites to listen Radio 3:

It's dead now.

Same thing for the two BBC R3 AAC streams in iTunes for PC. iTunes
crashes when i try to use them.

Problem solved. Thanks a lot!

audiomuze wrote:
Has anyone filed a bug for LMS not deleting orphaned genres from the db?
Running a scan looking for changed files picks up that there are
changes to genre entries, however, orphaned genre entries are not
deleted - they still appear in the genre listing albeit browsing an
orphaned genre yields no results. Orphaned genres should be deleted
 from the genres table.

http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16060

I did, and it was fixed back in 7.61. I just ran a few tests with 7.8
and a new changed scan successfully removed the orphaned genres. I
have a feeling that if it doesn't work for you, you have something else
going on in your library or with your plugins, as suggested in the post
above.
