Is the Scrobbling feature within LastFM continuing after end of April?

Yes, still scrobbling and suggesting tunes for you. I believe the
suggestions will have links to other (Spotify) music services, just no
streaming.

Re: [slim] I Am Uninstalling Orangesqueeze/Squeezeplayer

2014-04-12 Thread bwaldron

You might try changing the Orange Squeeze Persistent Connection setting
(under Advanced Preferences) to see if that stops the app from
restarting itself in the background. Some of us in the past had the
opposite issue (app stopped running in the background when we didn't
want it to -- so that playback could be paused/muted on a phone call,
for instance) and in fixing that the app may be overaggressive.

Alternatively, Squeeze Control will indeed work with SqueezePlayer.

Thanks. I have soo many favorites already.
 And,
not sure what a nested folder is.

You can create folders for organizing your favorites -- which may be
especially helpful to you as you note you have many.

Out of interest why do you have playlists of radio stations? Couldn't
you add them individually to favorite's

that could be done.
How do you make folders? On line?

You make Favorites folders using the LMS web interface. Here is a quick
intro:

- Open the LMS web interface in your browser, and navigate to Favorites
- Hover your mouse cursor over the Favorites line, and a pencil icon (a
very fat pencil) will appear on the right side of the same line as
Favorites
- Click on the pencil icon to enter Edit mode
- your Favorites appear on a list, with buttons at the bottom for New
Favorite, New Folder , and Import.
- you can define folders via New Folder, and then drag-and-drop
Favorites into those folders. You can also delete Favorites you may not
want any longer.
- to exit Edit mode, click on Home on the top left of the left pane of
the web ui

Re: [slim] Use Android phone as a player, with remote control?

2014-04-12 Thread malaugh

I have an android alarm clock I use as a squeezplayer

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.bluegaspode.squeezeplayer

I use my android phone as the remote

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.org.ngo.squeezer

I works great. Although the Squeezer remote only supports streaming
from the squeeze server. There are other (paid) remote apps that will
also play music services. It works good for me, since I play Spotify,
TuneIn radio, and Podcatser locally on the alarm clock for my other
music needs.
