Re: [slim] SB3 voltage range
Thanks all. Really appreciate the comments. Will ask around if someone has another ps that I can test with but looking less likely as a possible cause. I will park it for a bit while I work on getting IRBlaster working with squeezelite which will influence my decision on doing the caps.. cheers davemal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21639 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112024 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

But he measured it loaded, so he would likely see a much larger drop if something was really wrong. Having said that, trying another one is always a good thing. I've made the comment on capacitors because I've now fixed many and this seems to be really happening more and more with the SB3 reaching an age where these fail LMS 7.7, 7.8 and 7.9 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. It's a cheap SMPS, and even if it measures within the %+/- range it doesn't mean its delivering sufficient current to drive the SB3. At my weekend cabin, I have a 3 homeplugs in use. One is connected near main router/modem. 2nd is connected to a router in use as a switch only (not assigning IP addresses). To this switch/router, I've attached a vortexbox server running LMS and holding my music files and a TOUCH. the 3rd homeplug is connected to a BOOM in my bedroom. The wiring in this house is about 17 years old, and the 3 homeplugs are probably no more than 15 feet away from each other (house is very small). I plan on eventually running ethernet cable here, but haven't had the need yet. *Home:* VBA 4TB (2.5)>LMS 7.9.2>Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.4)>LMS 7.9.1>Touch>Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (ethernet, Radio WIFI) *Office:* Win10(64)>LMS 7.9.2>Squeezelite *The Wild (no internet): *PiCorePlayer 4.0 on rPi 3B+, hifiberry Dac+Pro, 4TB USB (LMS & Squeezelite) *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win10(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpa > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111970 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] This is driving me nuts
If your Lyngdorf amp is one with "Chromecast built-in", you might give the LMS Chromecast plugin a try. From what I've read, it can support up to 24/192. Can't guarantee gapless or ReplayGain support with these plugins, though, so you'll have to test that. Honestly, the best player for LMS is a Squeezebox or squeezelite-enabled device. If you have no other Squeezebox players to support, I'd suggest switching to a full-featured DLNA server like MinimServer and using the Lyngdorf controller app. Apesbrain's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=738 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111970 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Alternatives to Spotify
30083 I'd say the plugin shows pretty much the same thing as Qobuz does. If that's the wrong order, then you'll have to complain to Qobuz. +---+ |Filename: Bildschirmfoto 2020-04-16 um 13.16.25.jpg| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=30083| +---+ Michael http://www.herger.net/slim-plugins - Spotty, MusicArtistInfo mherger's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111969 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] SB3 voltage range
I don't think it's ever been specified anywhere but generally most thing run on 5V +/- 5% so thats 4.75 to 5.25V. There's no guarantee that this is the right range for your SB3 though. It COULD still be the PSU as it only takes a momentary drop in voltage to potentially cause a reset. steve-g's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=52057 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112024 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] This is driving me nuts
Dont think the homeplugs are an issue. The wired connection is solely for being able to calbrate and operate the amp from my Ipad. Music playback is wireless. Anyway, I switched off the UPNP plugin in LMS and reverted to playback via Airplay - and everything works as it used to - single touch selection and playback of individual tracks, next track in playlist plays automatically, progress slider allows me to fast forward within a track and still plays the next track when it reaches the end. So seems like the UPNP side of things is the problem. Someone said that LMS does not work well with UPNP (although it was fine until a few weeks ago) and suggested I try a different UPNP application to the current Plugin. But Ive no idea how to do that. I looked at SourceForge but was just drowned in a mass of technicality. I would like to use UPNP rather than Airplay as I have a few 24/96 tracks to play. Can anyone help ? liffy99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7832 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111970 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
[slim] SB3 voltage range
Hello, The last few months my SB3 has been resetting itself after random periods of time. I have ruled out wifi and done all the resets. My power supply is providing 4.9v with no load and 4.79/4.8v when powered up. Does anyone know if this is too low ? I have a second ps that I have tested with but it still rebooted and the voltage is similar at a shade under 5v. Just trying to see if anyone has experience with this - before I potentially waste money on a new ps to see if it is... Really, really want to rule everything out before going down the replace the caps route. cheers davemal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=21639 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112024 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
