Re: [slim] Writing Playlists to thumb drives for vehicle use

2020-07-07 Thread Fahzz

Just a thought on this:

Why can't you just load albums that you like on each stick by category,
genre, etc. and use random play on the car system? No need to be putting
together playlists?

I have purchaced a custom made Carradio with Android Operating system
and excellent soundquality. It runs like a android phone, so I have
installed Orange Squeeze on it, and it connects to my home system using

internet hotspot on my cellphone. Works excellent. And you get
Navigation and a big screen too .
Don't know if your Vehicle is listed.. Semilar products may be
available in your Region.

Is this not similar to
https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112408-Stream-from-LMS-TO-(not-from)-Icecast
?? You should be able to pipe squeezlite's output (set to stdout) into
ffmpeg and have this pass it to a local icecast server. See
http://www.streamingmediaglobal.com/Articles/Editorial/Featured-Articles/DIY-Live-Audio-Streaming-Using-Icecast-with-FFmpeg-125665.aspx

NOTE: I have not tried any of this.

*Material debug:* 1. Launch via http: //SERVER:9000/material/?debug=json
2. Open browser's developer tools 3. Open console tab in developer tools
4. REQ/RESP messages sent to/from LMS will be logged here.
