Re: [slim] Need Help with a Curious USB A to B Cable with Squeezeite Settings
I have zero experience with pcp on the USB side. I only use optical solutions, so just making a suggestion. I wasn't even aware there is a Qutest USB setting. I thought USB Audio is the only option on the dropdown box for USB DACs, so total noob here. My suggestion is try powering on the Qutest with your Macbook. Turn on your RPi. Unplug USB A from Macbook and plug into RPi. I believe Chord DACs need the 5V VBUS (Thin orange cable on your Curious) to initiate a handshake to activate the Qutest. Maybe after activating, if it stays PWR ON, pcp will recognize? Maybe some setting not initiating the handshake? Just hope the Qutest doesn't PWR OFF when you pull out the USB cable. If it's recognized, you can troubleshoot the setting from there... GL EDIT: USB Audio setting the same issue? (Win 8.1 - LMS 8.1 -- now that seems ominous, but on the good side) Even as I was writing my previous question/problem, I had that exact thought -- it must be the program version. So thanks for the suggestion and especially for the urls. Works nice and some very nice stations added to my list. phil phb (3 Booms, 2 SB3, 1 Rec'vr, 2 Controllers, 2xTouch, 2 Radios (1UE), iPeng : itouch & iPad, Squeezepad, 2 SoundBridge R1000s, NEW pCP Server + pCP Player) pbroughton's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=30993 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113942 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Need Help with a Curious USB A to B Cable with Squeezeite Settings
I have a USB type A socket on a PC where some cables work and some don't - I think it is just a mechanical issue where tolerance are just out or have become worn or perhaps the "springiness" of the contacts has gone. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113997 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Use Pi-Hole for your DNS server. Runs on your RPi, blocks ads plus a sorts of nasties. https://pi-hole.net/ Heuer's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2543 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113979 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Help needed: Transporter no longer connects to Wi-Fi
Thats not really a Logitech issue. Its quite common for a DHCP server to fail in that way but of course most people run the DHCP on their router so a reboot here would usually fix it. Microsoft would have you believe that everything works better with an AD server that provides DHCP and DNS but my experience suggests that this is often not the case. Glad you fixed it though. Re: [slim] Need Help with a Curious USB A to B Cable with Squeezeite Settings
I see those cables are a mere $350 for 0.8m. I guess if you can afford to pay that much for a bit of wire then you can afford to pay that much for one that doesnt work!
