All i can say is : You can truly do anything with Crestron, anything. It just cost ridiculous amounts of money. However, there is a module available in the plugins directory (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.cgi?PluginRemoteControls). But it's only a replica of the Squeezebox's display (2 lines). If you want to have a list of artists to browse and fully use you panel's display, you're gonna have to invest into some custom programming. -- Lowrent Lowrent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5665 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28917 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss --- avast! Thanks for the reply Fred This is what I was trying to do - but don't get any unknownir returns Tried with all my remote The subscribe command works because if I subscribe mixer I get volume changes passed to me Can you confirm you have tried/used this and what remote you used Regards, Karl -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Fred Sent: 19 October 2006 01:34 To: discuss@lists.slimdevices.com Subject: [slim] Re: unknownir CLI Function 1. telnet to slimserver CLI 2. subscribe unknownir 3. send some IR to the SqueezeBox 4. assuming the SqueezeBox does NOT recognize the IR, the CLI will send unkownir hexcode timestamp It basically allows to receive using the CLI IR codes not recognized by the SqueezeBox. It provides a way for a CLI client to react to IR commands, i.e. to use the SqueezeBox as an IR receiver. [slim] Artwork via HTTP
In the technical info in slimserver it states In addition, there is a shortcut URL to return the artwork of the currently playing song for a player: http://server:port/music/current/cover.jpg?player=playerid http://server:port/music/current/thumb.jpg?player=playerid where: server is the ip address or name of the server. port is the HTTP port of the server (not the same as the CLI port). playerid is the unique identifier for the player, as above. If omitted, the server will use a random player. RE: [slim] CD autoloader - automated ripping...?
Do a search for a powerfile - don't know how much they are but have used them on imerge systems to rip audio and kaleidescape to rip DVDs work well and have 2 drives in them to speed it up -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of gutted Sent: 27 November 2005 14:54 To: discuss@lists.slimdevices.com Subject: [slim] CD autoloader - automated ripping...? Anyone know of a decent device to autoload CDs? We used to have something at work which looked kind of cool - you'd load it up with media and then let it go. Though I never saw it in action, I understand that it could be used to burn multiple discs in a single sitting, and was used to distribute our software. I'm looking for something where I can load up a spindle of 100 CDs or whatever, and then set it running so that it will rip each CD for me with no intervention. I'm wanting to re-rip all my music to a lossless format, and I remember the time spent doing it manually... Wondering if I can fork out a few quid and get it done automatically so I can load it up with discs and leave it running for a whole weekend (or a whole week or whatever). I remember that, once apon a time, Slim Devices used to offer such a service - that's cool, but I'd kind of like to do it at home (hence this post ;) So - anyone know of a gadget or system that could do it for me? The autoloaders I've found on Google have been automated burners, and the cheapest one I found was something like $1,200. Ideally I'd be looking for something UK-based, don't actually need an auto-burn facility (though I guess I'm probably not going to find one without the other). Anyone got any ideas and/or recommendations?
