Hey Pippin, When (and if) you need any iPad beta testers sign me up. I'm currently using iPeng at 2x and it's nice - though I sometimes just use the web interface. [slim] Mac OS X nightlies for 7.0a1 incomplete since May 8
Just a quick heads up that the nightly builds of SlimServer 7.0a1 have been compiling or uploading improperly. The last working build was from May 8 - since then the files have been approximately 500K, where they should be 23MB. The .dmg mounts and contains the SlimServer Installer, but there are no files in the Install Files folder. VPC sucks. Windows runs so slowly that it would be easier to draw a picture of the album cover and guess the track listing. Plus I'm not sure it's even compatible with Intel Macs. I haven't tried Moose using Parallels but it should work just fine. And of course with Boot Camp, a Mac is a full Windows PC so Moose would operate just as you've designed it to. I run SlimServer on a slightly tweaked, dedicated PowerMac G4 Cube running Tiger. Silent, small and fits right between components in my audio/video setup. OK, so the problem seems to be this. With SlimServer installed for single user in OSX, the Scrobbler plug-in is looking in the wrong place... it should look for plug-ins in ~/username/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins but looks instead in the SlimServer pref pane plugins folder. I should mention that as a result of this error log I compiled Math::Round via CPAN - doing this got through the error at line 52, but gave me a new error at line 57 in the Scrobbler plug-in, that's when I just decided to move SlimScrobbleSupport and Scrobbler.pm into the SlimServer.prefpane itself. I have to manually move these two files into the prefpane each time I update to the newest nightly. Tracking down this error also allowed me to solve a problem I was having with th iTunes Update plugin. Make sure you are using the latest plugin from slimscrobbler.sourceforge.net Mine didn't work either when I upgraded to 6.2 until I upgraded the plugin. dave I'm using the latest plug-in.
