If you search you can see that loads of people have reported that their PC won't sleep when LMS is running on a squeezebox or a RPi. No solutions as far as I can see. Surely this would be a good problem to fix now -- rising energy costs etc. Anyway, if you have a solution, please say. mandryka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53967 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=116124 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

I run LMS on a Pi 3, which I turn off when not in use. It's fine but the one thing that annoys me is that it takes so much longer to fire up that the old squeezebox classic. [slim] Can I get album images in large playlists?
I have many very large playlists (more than 100, more than 200 tracks even), I manage them normally with squeezepad on an iPad. They may include all new releases which interest me in a certain month - so they may be made of of half a dozen or more albums. My problem is that except for the first few tracks I dont see the album image in the playlist. This is a serious problem because the list is made up of many albums and its often impossible to tell which album from the information you do see. Qobuz goodies in Squeezepad on IOS 13 - the windows too small!
Using IOS 13.1.3 with the Qobuz app in Squeezepad. Something really annoying has started to happen. If I go to Qobuz goodies to read the booklet associated with the recording, instead of opening a full sized safari window, it opens a window inside Squeezepad, which is too small. Is there anything I can do to get a bigger window with the booklet, apart from copying and pasting the url, or going to the Qobuz app? mandryka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53967 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] How do you backup playlists?
My playlists are stored in -C:\Users\User\Music\Playlists- which was chosen by the system on installation of LMS. There are a bunch of m3u and opml files in there, I can't do anything with them. I can't add- C:\Users\User\Music\Playlists- to the routine backup of my hard drive with syncback as I can only back up one folder per task. So I'd have to have a separate backup task for playlists, which isn't ideal. I have an external backup with backblaze, but this won't help because they won't make a backup from my main system hard drive. I'm going to add something which is going to contribute nothing to anything except antagonism and confusion. While the pi was out of order I was using a Squeezebox classic, digital optical output going into an external DAC. I'm now back to the pi with a hifiberry, optical output into the same dac and speakers and amp. And you know what? . . . . . . I think the berry sounds better! [slim] BT Hub stopping my ipad accessing LMS
Hello I control my music from Squeezepad on an ipad. The ipad can join two networks -- a BT hub and one from a Netgear wireless access point. If it has joined the Netgear network, everything's fine. However if it has joined the BT hub network, I cannot access LMS -- I do have internet though. I would prefer to be connected to the BT hub because it's faster in my listening room. Anyway things are clearly not right. Suggestions appreciated! The server is on a computer running windows 10, it is 7.9.2. The (very old!) I've got a feeling I was too laconic in the opening post, so let me spell out what I want to do. I want to access my music through my smartphone while away from my house. That's to say, I want to use the internet on my phone to access my LMS and then choose music, and have it beamed back to my phone to play, wherever in the world I am. As far as openVPN goes, I think I can do it with my BT Router https://2ellsblog.wordpress.com/2016/02/09/set-up-port-fowarding-for-openvpn-on-bt-home-hub-5/ I can follow those instructions till I get to the line 14 where there's reference to "pi-osmc" mandryka's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=53967 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109161 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
