(Not to mention the openess of the Squeezebox system with its various plugins and its wide support of tags and music sources) It's a pity that there is no replacement for the Radio. Neither in the Squeezebox world nor in any other system. I think there a several devices similar to the Squeezebox Touch (mostly RaspberryPi with Touchscreen). But there's nothing like the radio with all the hardware buttons, small size, portable with rechargeable battery. As you said, perfect for bedside and kitchen. It's seems if nowadays you have to use a shitty app or at least a touchscreen for almost everything. Re: [slim] Deezer Smart Radio - what's your experience?
But automatically generated playlist I have with both services. The repetory seems to be nearly the same as well (I was able to migrate all of my favorite albums from Spotify to Deezer). The only differences are that I can use Deezer on different Squeezeboxen at the same time and I can use Deezer on old and DIY Squeezeboxen. For me that makes 2 to 0 for Deezer. quadronado's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60946 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105753 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
