Re: [slim] ANN: Orange Squeeze 1.3.0 released!

2015-03-25 Thread stof77

Good news : the new version wich fixes the grid mode display for older
version of SBS is out,

Bad news (for me) : my Nas can't handle it, not enough power, not enough
RAM I guess.

So right now, I use another alternative :

LMS 7.7.3 on my Imac (2011) with my library on external USB HD, all is
working fine that way.

Except, that I would like the SqueezeBox to be able to wake my Mac from
sleep mode.

Wherever I try with the logitech remote or with Orange Squeeze with my
tablet, I just can't connect to the server on the iMac if this one is in
sleep mode (and I have the option ticked in System Preferences to wake
up from network access).

Anyone has success on this with a Mac / Nas or PC ? Sorry if I'm a bit
off topic...

The grid mod is definitely a SBS vs LMS issue,

I made a test with LMS 7.7.3 installed on my Mac with a little library

I want the option to use that archive on other computer for pdf building

So far I'm testing with everything setup on the same computer :

SBS v7.5.3
ACC v3.5
music library

So generating the catalog is ok in html, but the MHT do not include
the cover art.
Both are displaying ok on the same computer, but when I open the MHT on
another computer, there is no covert art, they are all empty,

the MHT is only few hundred ko, so that's the problem.

I don't now what settings should I modify ?
All cover are named folder.jpg, one file by album in each folder.
and one folder for each album.

Any help would be very appreciated !!!

Did you try Bullzip PDF ?

To create a PDF you have to do the following:
 1. Install Bullzip
 2. Generate a Catalog with ACC
 3. Do a print preview and narrow the margins. Remove the header and
footer that is added by Internet Explorer/Firefox/Other
 4. If the page breaks are not at the correct positions (albums break up
in the middle or blank pages are added) you have to adjust the print
pagination settings in the advanced options and repeat steps 2 and 3.
Once figured out the settings are remembered end never to be looked
after again. The default settings are ok for A4 paper size with 'use
 large track font' disabled.
 5. Finally, Print the catalog and select the Bullzip PDF printer (or
Acrobat printer if you use Adobe Acrobat). A file location for the PDF
will be asked and the PDF is created.
It will not open up automatically as ACC has no knowledge of the
 filename you have chosen.

 Does this help you?

OK I installed Bullziped, just finished to try it, the pdf creation
is working, sure, had to
- fight with the margins to avoid a few problems
- to get rid of an album that is understood as 3 albums in SBS ( even
more in ACC), arhh...the joy of tagging...nevermind will try to retag it
another time.

now it's seems all ok.

in the end it is very frustating because for now I can't share it with

Re: [slim] Announce: Album Catalog Creator v1.5 (ACC)

2009-11-11 Thread stof77

Great Work SilverRS8,

I really appreciate this update with the codec infos though not tested
yet,

could be an interesting thing IMO to add it in the quickRef too, but as
Roger66, I wouldn't mind to change a line or two in notepad as it seems
very easy (if I understand it well).

Thanx a lot for your time !

Re: [slim] Announce: Album Catalog Creator v1.5 (ACC)

2009-09-30 Thread stof77

SilverRS8;462010 Wrote:
 Hi Stof77,

Its still on my list and I have yet to begin with it. My thoughts on
how it should be implemented are:
 - Indication is made on album level (in the album header), not on
 individual track level
 - Indication is:
 - Codec i.e. mp3, flac, ogg,
 - Quality (for lossy codecs) (but not for VBR)
 - CBR or VBR. In case of CBR where multiple bitrates are used on the
album the indication will be CBR Mixed

I hope to implement it soon but my current priority is at my study
towards a specialized certification so it may take longer than you (and
 I) would like to.

But please share your thoughts on how you think (and all other reader
who like this feature) it would have to be implemented.

 Frank

At 1rst I was thinking of something really basic like : only the codec
used at album level, that was it !

But maybe adding some (optional) extra info like CBR / VBR bitrates,
like you mentionned is good idea,

though I don't really see the point with quality if we have bitrates
(IMO).

Take your time focus on your certification !

Hi Frank,

I you could (when the time will be on your side) add the tag codec
option, this is gonna be helpfull for some of us with several codec
files (mp3, flac etc...).

Thanx for making this great script

Still no response from Frank,

hope you're ok, though,

I had an old version (1.1), that I tried it's working great here.

As I have a full back up of my music collection on my windows PC, I did
run ACC there rather than from the NAS.

Congrats Frank, it's really a nice program, very usefull indeed.

So far I have properly tagged only my Flac files (more than 600
albums), but I will now work with the mp3, a lot of tag work has to be
done...

If it's possible, could you please add the option of the codec format
used : flac, mp3, wma or whatever.

It could be listed closed to the album or artist name.

The PC is connected to a Linksys switch (and was when WOL used to
work). I notice when the PC goes into standby, the LEDs on the switch

behavior before or not. If the ethernet adaptor is listening for magic
packets would one expect to see the lights on the switch to stay on?

 Any suggestions?

 Many TIA.

I've discovered the WOL function just afew days ago, so I'm no expert
about it but I can tell you that by my LAN the Leds are lighten on the
switch even when the PC are off, which could mean for you thaat there
is still a parameter not set right for the WOL to work.
