[slim] Sync issues RPi 4 and Squeezebox 1
Hello I recently got my Squeezebox 1s up and running (amazingly they still work well!). I add a Raspberry Pi 4 with a HifiBerry Amp2 and piCorePlayer, running Squeezelite. Everything works well, but the sync is off between the Squeezebox Classic and the RPi 4. The whole system is: RPi4 server running LMS, serving (2) Squeezebox Classic (both wired, hooked up to conventional receiver/amps) and (1) RPi4 w/ Hifiberry Amp2 (pCP w/ Sqeezelite, LMS disabled, Wifi for the moment, end goal is wired) I have tried delayed audio setting in the Player Settings, on the Squeezelite, but that seems to not fix sync, and leads to other weird audio issues. The Harmony remote, the cheapest one, fixed my problems. The Harmony Remote may be the way to go, for $30, I will gamble a reset will solve my connection troubles. I am having a similar problem, I have a (2) sb2 and no remotes. Is there a way to reset the SB2 with no remote? I am on OSX. Or alternatively, where can I get a remote? Okay, still no luck with this. [slim] Problem connecting to Squeezebox 2
Ok, here is the situation, I am having trouble hooking up to an old squeezebox 2. Everything was working fine, but I changed the computer that is the server. Here are some details: Server is MacBook Pro OSX 10.6.8 New install of LMS 7.7.2 - r33893 Squeezebox 2 wired Macbook is hooked up via ethernet to the same network as the squeezebox audio files are on an external drive LMS is running fine on the Macbook, it has scanned the external drive and all the audio files are available Squeezebox turns on, get an IP address and then I get cannot connect to server I have already tried these things: I have disabled firewall software, and apple's firewall disabled little snitch disabled virus software done a clean install of LMS turned off all the routers restarted the macbook pro ANy other suggestions? [slim] SC 7.0 hogging CPU
I installed squeezecenter 7.0 about a month ago, and now every so often, it completely takes over the cpu. I'm running OSX 10.4.11 on a old G4. In Activity Monitor, I see perl at ~60% and mysqld in the 20% range. I'm not a computer genius, but I assume that when this happens SqueezeCenter is rescanning or something, because it's not even serving up music to either one of my squeezeboxen at the time. Is this normal? This never happened to my set up under SS 6. I'm trying to point the podcast browser to http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_directory.php to get the NPR podcasts listed with the podcast browser, and I get a parsing error. Is this a problem with the podcast browser or am I pointing it at the wrong url? Is it possible to change the name of favorites? I've book marked several stations and the favorite is all http:// blah blah and some of them are stations from the same address so I need to sroll through to tell which is which. OK I'm running OSX 10.4.5 with safari as my browser. I have the latest nightly of 6.5 installed. I cannot access the drop down menu for 'server settings'. I'm using fishbone interface, and I've tried firefox as well. I'm just getting around to getting a high speed internet conection, and I'd like to get the most out of it and I've been checking out Pandora which seem pretty cool and I'd like to try it out, so I'm wondering if this will work... If I connect to the Squeeze Network with softsqueeze and then sync my player (squeezebox1) to softsqueeze, will that get me Pandora at my stereo? I have a Squeezebox1 wired that I want to run wireless. I have a D-Link DI-524 G router What do I need to buy to plug my s/b1 into to make it wireless? Everytime I try to figure it out Iget confused about wha I need, another router, and access point?
