Re: [slim] Controller: Doesn't stay on track!
I have the same problem. I will play with it more thoughtfully tonight. -- renkinj renkinj's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12981 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51466 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I have Now Playing for my screensaver when playing, a delay of 20 seconds, and screen dimming after 30 seconds. My SBC firmware is r2873 (saying latest isn't really that helpful when there are frequent updates). I have same settings apart from 10 sec delay. I have set it to max, but no difference. Something is weird here, made a software update just to be sure. I was mistaken; the controller was/is only on r2097. The software upgrade does download, verify and restarts but stays on r2097. Don't know if this has anything to do with the original problem. I'll see if I can wipe the controller and start all over with a fresh firmware (if that is possible at all). Re: [slim] Controller: Doesn't stay on track!
You might as well go for a 7.2 beta, 7.2 is very soon to be released. if you go 7.1 take the 7.1.1 the slightly bugfixed one Btw don't worry if 7.1 or 7.2 crash at the first start after install, just delete your cache folder and start again, it will then automatically build a new database. They made some changes in dB something ? that require a rescan, somewhere in 7.1 beta ? this happens automatically in many cases, but in some cases it crash. By cache folder i mean SqueezeCenters cache folder. you can find its location by going to settings in SC then status and scroll down a bit. -- Mnyb Mnyb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4143 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51466 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I just tried doing what you described, and at the end of the track I picked up the SBC and was right where I left off the menu. Pressing the back button took me step-by-step back up the directory tree. I'm not pressing other buttons. Se my structure down-under. When I have listened to e.g. the album Abbey Road by Beatles and decides to find One By One by Foo Fighters, I would on the SB3 go 2 steps back and 1 step forward into F-J, then move into Foo Fighters and select the One By One album. On the my Controller this is not possible. When I have listened to Abbey Road and press one back I'm set back to Music folder and have to select everything all over again. -Music folder -Music |- A-E |- Beatles |- Beatles - Abbey Road |- Beatles - Help! |- F-J |- Foo Fighters |- Foo Fighters - One By One This also means that I can't move from the Beatles album Abbey Road to Help! in 3 clicks (one back, down-bottom, select Help!). I actually have to start again from Music folder. Maybe this is only on my Controller ;-/ I'm on the latest Controller firmware. [slim] Controller: Doesn't stay on track!
I have both a SB3 and a Controller. On the SB3 when selecting a track (by going all the way through the folders on the server) I can walk from the outer folders and down to the single track. After listening to tracks I can walk all the way back and forth in the same path until I select another folder/track. So SB3 remembers the path and has the ability to backtrace. This is not the case with the Controller. After playing a track I can't backtrace say one or two folders and select and enter another album; as my pressing back sends me all the way to the startmenu. And I now have to remember the complete path to the album I was just listening to. This is really annoying. Can this be corrected on the Controller?
