[slim] Correct Operation of SB Controller
As per another post, my Controller stops displaying artwork after a period of time. Perhaps to put it more accurately, the Controller stops displaying artwork after a number of album/podcast/internet radio selections (i.e.: it may not be a function of time but rather a function of the number of call-ups for artwork). Anyway, this behavior coincided with my upgrade to SqueezeCenter 7.1.0. Im not attributing it to that but the undesirable behavior certainly wasnt present prior to the upgrade. The only work-around Ive been able to come up with is to power off and then power on the Controller. This got me thinking that perhaps the expectation is that the Controller is to be powered-down after the user is finished with it. Up until this problem, I always left the Controller powered on and let it fall into its sleep mode. So, with that long-winded explanation out of the way, how do you use your Controller? Do you power it down when youre not using it? Was that the way Slim Devices/Logitech intended to have the Controller used (its not explicit in the manual)? Was that the way Slim Devices/Logitech intended to have the Controller used (its not explicit in the manual)? I just about never power down the SBC, and it comes back fine -- including album art -- after I pick it up from the charging cradle or wake it up after it has gone to sleep. I'm sure that powering down is not necessary, nor is it the way it was designed. Something else must be at work in your case. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51457 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Correct Operation of SB Controller
At present I'm using 7.2 (r22860 from 8/23). For various reasons I skipped straight from 7.0 to 7.2. If you haven't tried doing a factory reset of the SBC, you might also try that. For that, power it off, then hold down the + when powering it back up. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51457 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I've done a factory reset through the SBC menu but I'll try your approach as it may be more comprehensive in clearing the SBC out. -- ShutterShock ShutterShock's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3602 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51457 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
