Re: [slim] Cover art only displays for first track in Album

I am confused and do not really understand. Let me try to explain my problem better. I use Squeezebox3 (SB3) and am using the Squeezebox Server on my Mac which is also where all of my music is stored. I Rip and manage my CD's using iTunes in Apple Lossless format. (I understand that there are disadvantages to use iTunes but it is what I am most familiar with). In SETTINGS in the Squeezebox Server I have checked the box use iTunes. When I use the default Squeezebox Server Browser I see that the Cover Art is only shown for the Album as whole, and for the first track of the Album. All of the other tracks show NO cover art! In iTunes the cover art is shown for every track. These are CD's that I have ripped using iTunes and I believe that this is the way iTunes works. SO my question is: How can I easily fix this so that the cover art will show up for every track using the Squeezebox Server Browser Thanks to all. Re: [slim] Cover art only displays for first track in Album
I am sorry that I cannot help you because I am no user of Itunes. In my case there are two ways to get the proper album: 1) an coverart file (for instance folder.jpg or coverart.jpg) in the album directory. 2) embedded (= in the music file itself) coverart. A good tag editor could store an coverart-file in the musicfile itself (=embedded). I do not known what a good mac alternative is for mp3tag. I am using Ubuntu (Linux) with mp3tag under Wine. -- wowo *Squeezebox*: 1x Touch + 1x 3 Classic *SqueezeboxServer*: Versie: 7.5.3 - r31792 *Plugins*: Album Review 2.9.3; Biography 2.9.4; Custom Browse 2.10.3296; Custom Scan 2.8.3223; Trackstat 2.10.3031 *NAS*: QNAP Turbostation TS-239 Pro II (1,6Ghz, 1GB); firmware 3.3.6 Build 1110T; QPKG SqueezeBoxServer 7.5.3 *Tag*: MusicBrainz 0.12.1; Mp3tag v2.48 *Other programs*: Album Catalog Creator v2.0.5 'Last.fm' (www.last.fm/user/Wowotiel) wowo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18033 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85343 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Cover art only displays for first track in Album
I have tried to search on this issue but am still lost. I have SB3 and using the latest SqueezeboxServer version. My music collection is on the same drive as the server (on a Mac) and consists of approximately 1400 Albums. Yes, I do use iTunes to manage my files and have recently purchased iPeng for my iPhone and iPad. (I love it). My cover art is only displayed for the first track in each album. (I only noticed this since using iPeng but now i see it is also true on my Squeezeserver interface). I understand that this is an iTunes issue and it is how iTunes manages the cover art files. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem? I am not very tech savvy.Obviously I do not want to fix this one album at a time and am looking for a way to do it all together. Thanks very much for the advice or for pointing me to other threads. Larry PS ... on the MAC Finder the artwork seems to show up on each track. How do they do this? -- lreinstein lreinstein's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14644 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=85343 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
