[slim] Failing Irish radio stations
The UTV set of radio stations refuse to play on the Squeezebox. They just rebuffer from 0 to 100%. Such stations include: Q102 mms://stream.u.tv/q102 Live95FM mms://stream.u.tv/95fm I've tried with both SqueezeNetwork and SqueezeCenter to prove that it isn't a geographical issue. Could it be a codec issue? I've tried using #slim:noscan=1 -- vinnielo *Come and try:* RadioFeeds UK Ireland for your Squeezebox! *http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/squeeze* vinnielo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14510 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43541 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Failing Irish radio stations
I think there is a limitation that SB3 native needs mms URLs to use http transport. Usually a station forget to check the box to enable this facility (which also allows radio to tunnel using http through firewalls). If you have a Windows PC then try disabling Native/Built-in WMA decoding in Server Setting/Advanced/Filetypes. This will force handling of the stream by wmadec on PC. If it plays then I think http is the problem. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43541 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Failing Irish radio stations
What I usually do to test this is to load the http:// version of the address into my web browser. In this case it's http://stream.u.tv/103fm. If my browser returns a 404, then I know it's an http problem. In the case of the UTVs, they open up a copy of WMP, so I don't think it's that. -- vinnielo *Come and try:* RadioFeeds UK Ireland for your Squeezebox! *http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/squeeze* vinnielo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14510 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43541 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Failing Irish radio stations
Another interesting observation: The UTV stations actually play on the non-beta version of SqueezeNetwork. Try Live95FM or Q102 to test for yourself! -- vinnielo *Come and try:* RadioFeeds UK Ireland for your Squeezebox! *http://www.radiofeeds.co.uk/squeeze* vinnielo's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14510 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=43541 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
