Re: [slim] Here is an interesting problem.
Ok I tried getting rid of the album artist and band tags and got the same result. Right now I just got rid of the itunescompilation tag and I'll see if that works in about an hour. What is up with the musicip part of the scan. It must not be able to just update from the timestamp and takes 45 minutes just for that part. It seems that if you use musicip it doesn't matter if you do a full scan or the new and changed scan, both take forever. Oh just for reference about 17k in songs. -- Nonreality -IF THE RULE YOU FOLLOWED BROUGHT YOU TO THIS, OF WHAT USE IS THE RULE.- HTTP://www.last.fm/user/nonreality Nonreality's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50589 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Nonreality;325639 Wrote: It would be a bit easier to try to fix if the scans didn't take an hour each time. :( Couldn't you make a small test music folder containing the offending album plus, say 25 other albums and temporarily point SqueezeCenter to that ? It would certainly cut down your rescan times. -- GlenL GlenL's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14364 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50589 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Here is an interesting problem.
Now I realize that it's because of musicip that limiting my library to one folder doesnt' work. Unless you turn that off it will do a full scan regardless of what you set your library. This should be easier I think. So now here I go again with disk or discnumber set. Hope it works. -- Nonreality -IF THE RULE YOU FOLLOWED BROUGHT YOU TO THIS, OF WHAT USE IS THE RULE.- HTTP://www.last.fm/user/nonreality Nonreality's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50589 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Here is an interesting problem.
I have an all time best collection of classic rock. It's 500 songs broken down into 5 folders. All are named the same with CD1, CD2 etc on the ends of the name. The songs are tagged with artist as the actual artist, then album artist and band are named Various Artists. I had to add the itunescompilation tag to get SC to put them in the Various Artists under artist browsing. Now for some unknown reason the first song in every folder is listed as a separate album. Before I added the itunescompilation tag the were alright under album viewing but they didn't show at all in the artist browser. Only ID3v2.3 tags and all have the same tag setup. Any ideas out there. I have gone through the tags with mp3tag to make sure they are right. -- Nonreality -IF THE RULE YOU FOLLOWED BROUGHT YOU TO THIS, OF WHAT USE IS THE RULE.- HTTP://www.last.fm/user/nonreality Nonreality's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15723 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50589 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
