[slim] How to set the Squeezeboxes to autmaticly update firmware?
Hi This is very frustrating (for me) .. I know you can set the firmware to update automaticly on the SB's .. Could someone tell me where? I've looked through 'settings' and 'extras' and can't find it. Is there a way to set up all players to auto update through Squeezecenter? Thanks for any help. -- Sike Sike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2458 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Thanks everyone .. never saw those settings before. This will save me having to run around pressing the brightness button on each SB2/3 (hope it works on the SB1 as well) -- Sike Sike's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2458 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

When it boots up, rather than select a wireless connection (or before it automatically connects to your system), scroll down and there is an option to set the player to automatically update. Pressing and holding the left arrow key for a few seconds will bring you to the same (Squeezebox Setup) menu. You'll find the Auto upgrade option in the Current Settings menu. -- sebp System : Mac Mini for ripping to FLAC (Max) SqueezeCenter 7.0.1 running on a ReadyNAS NV+ Living room : Squeezebox 3 Sony STR DE-875 Celestion F30 Bedroom : Squeezebox 3 Beresford DAC NAD C315BEE KEF iQ3 Kitchen : SB Receiver Logitech SoundMan X1 'Last.fm' (http://www.last.fm/user/sebp) sebp's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=11768 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Then just reconnect to your network and off you go. I don't think the option is available in the webui. This must be on be default because I've never had to make the change you are talking about. Though it's good to know where it is in case I need it in the future. -- maggior maggior's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9080 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] How to set the Squeezeboxes to autmaticly update firmware?
The SqueezeBox reciever will automatically update it's firmware when a new one is bundled with a new SqueezeCenter release, same goes for the controller. By default the SB3/Classic prompts you to hold the brightness button on the regular remote to trigger the update. -- funkstar funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=50513 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
