OK, I was just wondering if this was related to the memory leak that
some Firefox users are experiencing when browsing.

[slim] Re: problems displaying art - causes slimserver to crash

2006-10-16 Thread SatanicT

Same error for me, tried 6.5.0 6.5.1 and if i try to view artwork it
crashes after a few seconds.
Have tried 3 different computers, tried win2000 and win xp on all
three, the error is exactly the same.

I can write a mail later too if needed, i know im not the only one with
this problem among my friends, and we dont use the same anti-virus,
firewalls etc.

This is from the eventviewer when i just crashed

[slim] Re: problems displaying art - causes slimserver to crash

2006-09-29 Thread rick's cafe

Kevin.. thanks for the reponse.. I will email with the info over the
weekend and will run the event log too to try help identify the
issue...

However the weird thing is that I encounter the same issue on 2
different PC's (i.e. both work and home PC) .. each are WIN XP SP
running Slim Server 6.5.0

However the music collection is all from same souce - located on home
PC

Work PC only has about 2500 songs / 600 artists / 350 albums

directory is generally

c:/music/artist/album

if any album has artwork it is stored in album folder (although not all
have artwork)

Home PC same as above but for the fact that it is much larger

roughly 26,000 tracks / 4000 artists / 2500 albums

directory is held on an external HD

f:/ Music/genre/artist/album

I will also try to run the evnt viewer today on work pc so a
comparrison can be done if that helps

let me know if you need more info

thanks

richard

Could you possibly e-mail us at [EMAIL PROTECTED] with more
information about your computer, including a list of antivirus,
spyware, content filtering, firewall, and VPN software installed on the
system?

As well as what audio format you're playing, and a bit more detail
about how your music library is organized? And if you have consistent
steps to reproduce, a list of steps as well?

Thanks!

2006-09-28 Thread kevin

Oh, one more thing, if you open up the event viewer (click start, click
run, type in 'eventvwr' and hit enter), you can export the event
viewer's application log which would contain any relevant crash
information. You would probably want to zip that file before sending
it in. (right-click on the file and there should be an option to add
to compressed folder--can't remember precisely what the option says...)
