Does anyone know... if I cancel Spotify Premium today, but my renewal date is the 14th... will it continue as Premium until my renewal date and then drop me down to free status? Or will they stop my Premium immediately and refund me the unused time? If you want to listen to Spotify on your Squeezebox you need a premium
account and to get a premium account you need to pay for it and that's
possible to do already today even without invites. An invite will not
give you a premium account, it will just give you the possibility to
listen to Spotify on a computer.

Been playing spotify. Yes you can tell the the difference between encodings on songs. Some sound very clean while others can be a little muddled. It seems like it skips a song with the not available in your region. But if there are a few in a row it stops. That needs to be improved. You should not have to go to the remote to push a button to get it going again, very frustrating. I decided to bite the bullet and ponied up $10 for a month of premium service to check this out since it's been hyped up so much. So far I can say I'm impressed with the selection of music, but I have yet been able to listen to a single note. The app on my iPod Touch will not play music - it appears to but the the time doesn't advance on the track. When I try to play it on my squeezebox (SB3), I get an error telling me that it's an invalid file (I think that was the error). Tonight I'll try the PC app to see if I can get anything going. Looking on their website, it looks like everything is just peachy - no service outages or anything. Anybody else experiencing anything like this? Rich, do you have Triodes plugin and the setting at your Spotify username and password? I've been doing some reading since my post and I see that the official plugin only supports the radio and the touch. I've never seen this sort of dependency before, so it took me by surprise. I've noticed the Squeezebox display and webUI is often getting out of sync with what is playing. I am using Triode's plug-in. Is this typical, or maybe a connection issue? I've been playing around with Napster and am interested in seeing how Spotify stacks up. I like Napster's price and so far the service has been solid, but I'm frustrated by the fact that a significant number of albums I go to play have tracks which are download only and will play only a 30 sec. sample. It was cool though to get to listen to the entire new Yes CD on the day it came out. :-). Hi All I have a spotify subscription and think its great to be honest, the main pro's for me - Availability - great range of songs, not sure how it stacks up against Napster/Rhapsody in terms of million of songs though - Playlists - This is a killer feature for me, ability to search and find playlists from other users, you can get any type of playlist for any situation and cuts out doing a lot of work yourself! I wish I could find a comparison of what you get with free/premium/ultimate. Correct and Squeezebox is treated as a mobile device so you need
Premium to use that.

excellent third party Spotify plugin and that will work on all hardware

Anybody know of a good comparison of Spotify, Napster and Rahpsody in terms of library breadth? I've googled but haven't found anything useful. It's 320, Fred, with the premium sub. You need a Premium subscription to use it on your Squeezebox and you don't need an invite for that, but if you still want an invitation, I have three.
