But, someone just told me that the smartphone app for router and extender control offers far more options than the web interface I've been rooting around in. So next time I'm at the new apartment, I'll give it a try. Thanks for that link! That's what I had expected - "Disposant d'un port Ethernet WAN-LAN vous avez possibilité de relier un équipement PC" - and I tried it with both some SB kit and a WiFi-off laptop - with no connection. I used the LAN cable supplied with the Pop extender, but I'll try some other cables too, just in case I won't be a the new place for the next few days, so this will be a weekend task. If I can get it to work, it will solve almost the whole of the WiFi6 / SBs issue for me! One thing, though. The Freebox installtion guides only mention the Ethernet port as an INPUT to the TV box or WiFi Extender. That link you found is a 3rd party site - and I have to wonder (France being France!) whether they verified that the socket was indeed 2-way, or did as I did, and simply thought "An Ethernet Socket - that will be handy!". 8.2.1 - 1639114554 Win11 Control: Web GUI; MaterialSkin on Android phones / pads b) Freebox Pop Wifi6 / Mesh External SSD, WiFi Laptop 2 x Touch LAN (Firmware:8.0.1-r16907) 2 x SB Radios, Wireless (8.0.1-r16907) agbagb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7034 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=117081 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

According to this https://www.busyspider.fr/Actu/news_210227_Freebox-Pop-comment-relier-un-equipement-pc-imprimante-sur-le-port-ethernet-wan-lan-du-repeteur-wifi.php you should be able to get this to work. Try with different Ethernet cables and with different equipment - eg plug in a laptop with laptop WiFi disabled. What you are remembering, I think, It port auto-sensing - which is supported by most modern devices. [slim] WiFi Extenders and LAN
In my new WiFi6 setup (damn!) I've got the Router, with a few Ethernet sockets, a wireless TV box with an Ethernet socket, and a WiFi extender box again with an Ethernet socket. (French Freebox Pop kit, for what it's worth). Obviously, those two extension boxes can connect WiFi to the router, or can connect LAN to the router. However, I "assumed" that, with the boxes connected to the router via WiFi, their LAN sockets would be outputs as well as inputs - and I could plug a Touch or a Radio into them, bypassing the troublesome WiFi6. But, so far as I can tell, the LANs are IN only - an SB device plugged in reports "No LAN Connection". (Those on the Router work fine as OUT). Is that "as expected"? In my innocence, I thought that LAN sockets were always both IN and OUT. Am I wrong, as it seems? 8.2.1 - 1639114554 Win11 Control: Web GUI; MaterialSkin on Android phones / pads Machines / devices are in France, in two locations. a) Livebox 6 Internal HDD (FLAC music; mp3 voice), LAN Desktop 3 x Touch - 1 wireless, 2 LAN.
