Sure there is. A second SB! Re: [slim] difference in volume levels with Duet and other audio sources
thanks for the reply, both devices ( S'Box and CD) run through the DAC which the Amp sees as 'CD' so adjusting levels doesn't work. But, when I adjust the S'box volume output to Max then switch sources they are much closer in volume levels and then I use Amp volume control, simples! However, I do occaisonally connect the S'box to a set up in another room and vol is set to the Max...I know there is nothing that can be dome about that though. -- Chilts Chilts's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36630 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76327 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] difference in volume levels with Duet and other audio sources
Go to page 35 in your Denon 1910 manual and refer to: "Correcting the Input Sources Playback Level". This setting allows you to reduce the volume of the CD input to match the volume of the Duet. Make sure that your Duet's volume is at 100 when doing this. -- Rick B. Then the volume from CD will be identical with the volume from the ripped CD files. The Duet digital out is identical to the CD player (so long as you don't use volume control). Use the Denon 1910 volume control instead. [slim] difference in volume levels with Duet and other audio sources
I know I have seen something of this before so apologise for bringing it back, I don't seem to be able to find the thread in question. I have Duet routed through Dacmagic DAC into Denon 1910 and out to dedicated audio speakers. Also through the same DAC on a second optical input is a CD player, if you have Duet at reasonable volume levels and then switch source to CD the volume increases so much it makes your ears bleed. I have a second Audio amp in the set up ( acting as pre amp for a turntable, no phonostage on 1910) Would routing the Duet to the audio amp then DAC then 1910 help at all. If not any other suggestions on how I can equalise output levels? Thanks. -- Chilts Chilts's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=36630 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=76327 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
