Yes, we plan to eventually support that and technically it would be possible today, albeit not easily done and I'm not sure it's applicable in practice, yet (Spotify currently relies on the Spotify Protocol Handler plugin, which uses the account configured there and Deezer family doesn't work through their API IIRC). The way it's generally planned is through different ickStream accounts to which you would assign your players. Currently, all players are assigned to your account by the ickStream plugin when you first register them but the plugin can in theory handle players registered to different accounts. I would like to be able to use multiple accounts (family accounts) of either tidal or Spotify. Any plans on implementing this on ickstream? Yesterday, I set up LMS on a Synology for a friend. I've installed it without linking his SB Radio nor LMS to MSB. As he had a subscription to Deezer (Premium), I installed him the Ickstream plugin and added his Deezer account. It didn't want show up at all. It kept telling me 'please add a streaming service'. I have tried my personal Qobuz and other services, and it worked. Was the service down? Is there something I need to do? I checked my personal setup at home and all is fine, even Deezer. Thanks again for a quick and thorough reply, Pippin! I love how my favorite multiroom home streaming audio system is kept alive and still gets new and improved functionality developed by the community. Most recently, I've had the pleasure to utilize new and improved iPeng releases, the renewd Youtube-plugin, Shairtune and airbridge plugins where the apple universe now is almost seamlessly integrated with Squeezebox, don't stop the music with Last.fm-mix etc. -Just awsome! But I must admit I have a great deal of anxiety regarding if and when Logitech decides to shut down the mysqueezebox.com service, and I really hope somebody in the future will carry on with a central online service to replace mysqueezebox.com, and maybe in the future also in a commercial scale develop new audio player devices with or without speakers, which you could buy to replace old players as plug-and-play, without yourself having to make homebrew devices on the Rasperry Pi etc., even though this also is a great project in itself! Regarding the subject at hand, like you mention, I've started to explore the possibility to install the LMS server with the plugins I love, like Ickstrem, on either my NAS or my Squeezebox Touch, without my large local music library, which would kill the performance on both. Among the two possibilities, I would prefer the LMS server on the Touch, to prevent the constant HD spinning and resulting high temperature on my My Book Live NAS, but I've hit a brick wall with regards to installing plugins on the running LMS server on my Squeezebox Touch. Maybe somebody knows about and could point me to a forum thread or site which could help me install plugins on a LMS server running on the Squeezbox Touch, as this in general, outside the specific ickstream plugin, probably is a little off topic in this specific thread? Yes, that's what that means. The problem is: the way the Squeezeboxes work they always need a server to operate, either MySqueezebox.com or LMS. That's also where the content menus for services come from. We can't get into MySqueezebox.com so LMS is actually the only place where we can add services through ickStream. Now... LMS can run on the Touch as well as you know and although it lacks an installer you can technically (if done manually) also install plugins there and this might actually even work with the ickStream plugin (haven't tried it). But the applet does something else, it's a software that runs only on the Touch and plays locally there, it can't be controlled with e.g. iPeng. But in the case of the ickStream applet it could be controlled with an ickStream controller, but what you can not do that way is control all the other Squeezebox functionality on the Touch. I'm not familiar enough with the system to fully understand the difference between ickstream as a backend service or as a device, but are you saying that the applet on a Touch, with for instance iPeng as a controller, wouldn't allow the Touch to access ickstream in a similar manner to how it's accessed throgh the LMS with the plugin installed? Ickstream without cranking on the local server every time would've been really cool! But keep focusing where you need to focus and keep up the good work! It existed but you need to be aware what it does: it's not to access services on a Touch using ickStream as a backend, it's to use the Touch as an ickStream device. You would have to use an ickStream controller to use it that way, too. Please try to go to API.ickstream.com , log in with username/password or anything other than TIDAL, then remove TIDAL under "Services" and re-add. I installed the ickStream plugin last week in order to give TIDAL a spin
and it works great. However, while I am able to browse and search
Soundcloud via the ickStream plugin, I have been unable to play anything
from Soundcloud through the plugin. I can listen to Soundcloud tracks
through my browser without a problem, though. Other internet radio
streams work fine, too.
I've removed and reinstalled the ickStream plugin, removed and rejoined
Soundcloud from the ickStream web portal, and just updated my server to
the latest nightly this morning. No joy. Again, TIDAL works like a charm
through all of this.
This is a Debian-based i386 server. Four players (two squeezelite, one
boom, one classic), all via wired ethernet. Five active plugins:
ickStream, MusicIP, Date and Time, Full text search, and save playlist.
I'll paste here what I get in server.log. Would welcome any thoughts or
suggestions. Great work on this plugin.

Hi ickstream users, I cannot add more than 200 Todal tracks at a time to current playlist. I am running LMS 7.9 and Ickstream. I have no limit to the length of the playlist in LMS and it is not a problem to have very long playlist (>1000 tracks). Here is what I do: Use my app Squeeze Qtrl to: 1. Select Ickstream 2. Select Tidal 3. Search for "111" 4. Select Albums 5. Long press the album "111 years of Deutsche Grammophon - various artists" 6. Select Play This particular "album" is a collection of 111 albums and it is quite difficult to select say album 58 and play it. I can still only add 200 track if I select "add to playlist" or "play next" in step 6. Any suggestions for solutions or workarounds? Is there any further word on the negotiations to allow SiriusXM streaming content on ickStream? I assume there would be loud proclamations and hosannas if it were actually implemented, but I'm just wondering whether there remains any hope that it will happen "someday", or has the plan completely died? Just wanted to report how easy it was to install ickstream to access Tidal. I am lucky enough to have a Naim SuperUniti. The latest firmware update brought Tidal into the Naim App and offered a 90 day free trial of Tidal HiFi. Last night it took less that 5 minutes to install the ickstream plugin, sign in using my Tidal credentials and get my, so far, single Tidal playlist playing through the Radio in the kitchen. Hi ickstream team - I recenty changed the 'ModelName' of squeeze2upnp (UPnPBridge) from 'SqueezeLite' to 'Squeeze2upnp' and I realized it broke the possibility to integrated it in ickstream. Of course, I can revert to 'SqueezeLite', but would you mind, knowing that the model is still 'squeezelite', accepting another 'ModelName' like 'Squeeze2UPnP' ? That's problematic. You bridge allows use with arbitrary players, that's definitely not covered by our license. We have to be careful with these things. It's not just our business model at stake here, it's also whether service providers allow this or not, Some don't care a lot but some are highly sensitive to this. The open beta is meant for Squeezebox devices, for smartphone Apps through PMS and for DIY-boxes with software players. Since Triode seems to have left us for good now, after the behindthescenes drama with a Squeezeboxreplacement. Would it be possible to include Spotify in Ickstream? Triode's plugin is not being updated and there should be more possibilities with the new API. Also scared that it will stop working alltogether. Mherger has updated the app on mysqueezebox, but I am already running my system without that service, since I do not believe it will be there for ever and something like Ickstream, which is hopefully here to stay, seems like a better alternative. Hello, I have Tidal working perfect on LMS with Duet+SB3's, but have a usability issue with how favorite albums are sorted. The settings for ickStream only has option for Sort albums for artist = by title or by year, title. Is there any way to sort by Artist, Title? No matter what I do they are always sorted by Title, which is no surprise give the only two options. If I mark Artists with a star, then I find all albums under artists including all singles and EP and other that I'm often not interested in. Alternatively I can create a playlist for each televant album and then name it with Artist - Title in the title, but this is tedious and unnecessary work if Albums could just be sorted as described. Any ideas? I deleted LMS, cleared out all the settings and reinstalled. All seems to be working well. However, when I try to access the Ickstream plugin on Touch 2, I get the following message: Please login to Ickstream Music Platform in LMS web interface. When I go to the ickstream site, I am only seeing one of my devices (are you supposed to see both?). I tried to re-register, but am still unable to access Tidal on one of my touches. Hi there, just an update - my subscribtion through my mobile provider is changing from Wimp Premium to Tidal... and this seems to work just fine... today I tried again - but this time with the Tidal trial... and this
works - sound is playing just fine.
My WIMP account is for WIMP premium, could that be the problem - does
ickStream only work with WIMP Hifi?
The log still shows Unauthorized access when using the WIMP service
from ickStream.
Any ideas?

We have looked into it but need an answer from Tidal whether and how this is supposed to work. So far, you were always able to log into Tidal with a WiMP HiFi account but not to play anything. I loaded it some time ago and it was not the best interface, but it did work. I recently lost my LMS control ofver my squeezeboxes and had to re-connect them to my wireless network to the server and restart LMS a few times. Since then, I get no content errors on TIDAL. The genre menu will come up with categories with some images, but they all contain a no content label. So, I am essentially dead. The TIDAL desktop ap works. I logged in to ickstream and looked at the preferences and I don't see anything amiss here. Tidal is just recently available in my country. I start using ickStream to stream Tidal to my SBs. However, I found that the Artist function under ickStream is different from the Artist function under Tidal iOS application. Using ickStream, there are a lot of junks when I choose a particular Artist. Remove and add WiMP/Tidal again in your 'ickstream account '
(http://api.ickstream.com) may solve your issue.
If that didnt help you could also try to re-register your Squeezebox
from the lms, settings, advanced, ickStream tab.

I tried to install ickStream in LMS. The ickStream app appears under my apps. Clicking on it brings up the request to login to ickStream in Settings. However, since the installation, if I click on Settings, all I get are pages of code. No user interface anymore. So I can't set up Tidal as I was hoping, and I can't change any LMS settings at all now. Any ideas of how to fix this? I've tried deleting LMS and reinstalling and rebooting the player.
